In this tutorial I will show you how to create a very nice image inspired by the amazing work of Andy Gilmore. If you don't know who he is, I highly recommend you to check his work out. He creates images combining vectors and blend modes to create astonishing designs, and that is what we are going to do. We will use Illustrator and Photoshop in this tutorial.

The wallpaper of this week is an image created by Perttu Murto, a 26-year-old graphic designer, art director and illustrator from Finland. Perttu has been involved in graphics for more than 8 years and his work has been featured in several prestigious design websites and magazines. In 2007 he was selected as the Young Advertisement Designer of the year in Northern Finland.
The book suggestion of this week is about colors, one of the most important skills for any designer. The book is called Color Design Workbook: A Real World Guide to Using Color in Graphic Design and it's not only a very useful book, it's a very well designed one.
