JLA Character Design by Franco Spagnolo

JLA Character Design by Franco Spagnolo

Today is the release of Man of Steel in theaters here in Brazil, and I'm really pumped for it. I know some people didn't like it, but seriously, it's Superman, the greatest superhero of all. Unfortunately, as you may have heard, Legendary Pictures is no longer working with Warner Bros, so there's a great possibility we won't get a JLA movie with the same team that came up with Batman and Man of Steel. So, cheering for a good JLA movie in a near future, I'm sharing with you guys some great character designs by artist Franco Spagnolo. These are super great... fresh takes on the characters we all love. I hope you enjoy these as well! For more of Franco's design, check out his portfolio at Behance. He'll definitely enjoy your visit. Cheers! ;) Superman Batman Wonder Woman Flash Green Lantern LJA

On August 12, 2012, one of the greatest and most influential comic book artists passed away. Joe Kubert is praised as one of the main artist at DC comics during their golden era as the man behind characters as Sgt. Rock and Hawkman. May his art stay on our hearts and pencils. Joe Kubert don't have a official website, but you can find a lot of references on his Wikipedia article.

Truly Awesome Comics Characters Mugshots

During one of my several reseaches for post subjects, I was looking through some comics art... and the things one finds are totally amazing. Amazing fan-art. I really love how some artists just think out of the box and develop whole series of fan-art, like these truly awesome comics characters mugshots. Going through the Marvel universe, and passing through many comics universes, like DC, Watchmen, The Monarch, Doom Patrol and many other, Evan Shaner really stands out in the crowd. His style is really inspiring: simple, but stunning. I love these, and I really would bet all my chips that you guys will like it too. Don't forget to visit Evan's portfolio at DeviantART. This guy deserves all the attention! Cheers. ;) Edit: The artist has deactivated his DeviantART account, so the images were taken down. To see his work you may visit his portfolio.
