Drone Photography: Exploring the Bahamas, Hawaii and Austria

Drone Photography has been taking another leap yesterday with the announcement of DJI Spark that we are soon getting our hands-on! Meanwhile, let's take a look at the work from Matt Porteous who is taking us on a journey in the Bahamas, Hawaii and Austria. All the footage has been taking with his DJI Mavic Pro. What I love about this series is the style that Matt is sharing through his captures. Quite inspiring to follow! Behind this photo series, we have the work from Matt Porteous who is a photographer based in London, UK. Explore the World with Drone Photography

Photography with drones is something I can't wait to pursue through experimentations and of course travelling eventually. It's always been about reaching another perspective on how we see things around us. Let's explore some parts of the world with Henry Do who is a travel photographer that takes pretty beautiful shots with his drone. Let's follow his journey from the islands of Hawaii to a dense forest of Portland. Behind this series is the work of Henry Do who is working as a travel photographer currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada. You wouldn't want to travel as a job? (Raise your hand!) You should definitely follow his travelings on Instagram. Unsplash Picks: From Where I Drone

Unsplash Picks: From Where I Drone

We wanted to share some of our picks from the beloved Unsplash site filled with free high-resolution photos that you can download and do whatever you want with it. For your next project, mockups; simply go wild with them. The main purpose is to create an opportunity to get you more inspired in your work, as a designer I believe that inspiration comes from everywhere. THE more you're exposed, the more you'll create. This week, we are going with a theme of From Where I Drone. I believe that traveling with the main purpose to wander and explore; together helps immensely to feed your brain at your journey and tremendously contribute at boosting your creativity. What do we all do when you are in a country where you’ve never been before? You look to understand how the people live, the architecture, tourist attractions and everything. Now the question of traveling is what kind of gear are you bringing with you? On my recent trips to Iceland and Berlin, there’s been a lot of thinking and research on what would accommodate the most my needs of video and photography. How about drones? As you can witness in this collection, drones will always give that perspective that you’ll never be able to reach. Vindur: Icelandic Landscapes

Vindur: Icelandic Landscapes

Sigh, drones. They are pretty (very) pricey, fragile but they can give you the best vantage point of areas/perspectives that you can’t never ever be reached other than being riding a helicopter or flying like Superman. On the other hand, flying a drone in a very particular place and environment like Iceland; can really take your drone game to a whole new level. Let’s take a look at the work from Vadim Sherbakov and his aerial journey within the Icelandic Landscapes filled with waterfalls, valleys, mountains, landscapes, oceanic cliffs, old glacier, and many other magnificent wonders. As we are planning our trip to Iceland in less than a month, this is definitely inspiring and breathtaking. Vindur is a non-narrative short film shoot with drone in different parts of Iceland. Vindur means wind in Icelandic which is relevant to the way its shoot. So for 3 minutes you will get to enjoy amazing drone footage portraying Icelandic unbelievable landscapes. Beautiful waterfalls, endless valleys, unusual mountain ranges, out of this world landscapes, oceanic cliffs, old glacier, fantastic canyon and many other wonders that makes Iceland so unique and such a blast to shoot using DJI Phantom 3 professional.   More information: http://www.madebyvadim.com

I wasn't really interested in drones until the DJI Phantom 4 came out with so many incredible features, basically that thing can fly by itself. I mean how cool is that! Other than taking 4K videos of our boring neighborhoods/backyards, let's admit that it's kind of hard getting those beautiful aerial footages other than living in a vacation destination. I am talking about my sake, mostly. I guess it will revert back to what I also do love about drones is that you can reach a perspective that mostly we just can't reach. Makes you feel that you are flying like Superman, not trying to be cheesy but it's kind of awesome. The exercise of visually conceptualizing your shots before you take your drone up. We are taking a closer look at this photo series by Dimitar Karanikolov taken from Formentera Island located in Spain. The main island of Formentera is located near south of Ibiza in the Mediterranean Sea. We just can't help to notice the colours of the water and the different/stunning shapes of the Island. Drone Photography with Dirk Dallas

Drone Photography with Dirk Dallas

I feel we are still in the state of novelty while talking about  Drone Photography. Why? There's isn't that much of it out there yet, I might be wrong but this is my thought. I also a great fan of those who pushes the limits of this tool/hardware to capture different angles and perspective rarely seeing before. It's a totally different vision and we can't help to be inspired by it. We would love to share this might be our first feature on Drone Photography and let's take a look at Dirk Dallas's perspective of the World. I have been shooting at eye-level for years. I needed a new challenge. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); About Dirk Dallas Dirk is a designer, photographer and educator living in Southern California, USA. Last year, he got himself a DJI Phantom Quadcopter and he has been obsessed with Aerial Photography ever since. For more information: http://fromwhereidrone.com and follow him on Instagram.

Drones equipped with cameras are commonly known as cool gadgets to have. Instead of flying them through your neighborhood or your backyard, some people will take them on their voyage. Insightful and exhilarating at the same time, watching these footages would forcely demand your need of travelling. Enjoy!
