A few days ago I was watching a movie and I saw the Dreamworks logo. It's very well known and incredibly beautiful; that little kid sitting on the moon fishing. But what caught my attention was the clouds on the logo. They were so dramatic, and I thought that it would be a nice idea try to replicate the effect in Adobe Photoshop CS4.
This week we have the honor to publish a tutorial from Guilherme Marconi, one of our favorite digital artists out there, and we can say owner of a very unique style. In this tutorial he will show us a bit of his working process. From how he comes up with the ideas and what he does to make them become reality.
A few weeks ago, I created an image for the Halloween Wallpaper of the Week. It was an image of a ghost flying around, and that ghost I did when I was playing with Maxon Cinema 4D, a 3D app from Maxon, very cool and kind of easy to learn.
A few weeks ago I published a tutorial called Girl in Tempo. I used the new version of Pixelmator that had the codename Tempo. The result was really nice and I got a very positive feedback, and, also some emails asking me to do that tutorial in Adobe Photoshop.
We have accepted some tutorials from readers and we think it's really good to open the blog, so anyone can share their skills with the community. A few weeks ago we had a very nice Vector Packs giveway from Designious. For that article I did an image using some of the floral vectors to create a floral type. It was similar to the Frilly Bits effect, however for this one we combine the vectors with the font to create a different result.
One of the best tools in Illustrator in my opinion is the Blend Tool. There are so many things we can do with the blend tool, mixing shapes, replacing the Spine path to create crazy forms. Also I try to learn how the real masters like Andy Gilmore create those fantastic pieces.
It's Halloween time and nothing better than a simple tutorial showing how to create a Zombie Mixing some photos. It's an easy technique but it's ver effective, also you can try different combinations and images to create really cool monsters.

Last week I decided to upgrade to the new Adobe CS4 apps, as usual I did my backups and of course I forgot very important things, such as my Photoshop Brushes and Patterns. I hate when that happens, but it does happen all the time. So I had to look for my brushes and I found some really cool new ones and decided to play a bit with them and with the new Adobe Photoshop CS4.
