Earlier this morning I saw a really cool video from Sam O'Hare over at koikoikoi.com - a site filled with inspiring stuff. The thing is that Sam's video was so cool that I decided to search more about his work to show here to you, besides the video, of course. The video, entitled The Sandpit is a brilliant mix of time-lapse and tilt shift that shows a day in the big apple. Sam used a Nikon D3 to produce it. Other than the video, I really liked his photos. The shots are simple and beautiful, they have a stunning lightening composition and most of them show day-to-day scenes, witch I love. I think it's really nice to shot ordinary scenes, images from our day by day life. His images really got my attention... so here it is a selection of some of Sam's photos. Head over to his site to check out more about him and his work! I hope you like it. Enjoy. :) The Video The Sandpit from Sam O'Hare on Vimeo. Some Photos
I have always loved drawing, a pencil, paper and time. Thats all you need. I find it pleasantly therapeutic, of late I haven't found time to do it as much as I would like. Recently I was looking over some of my older drawings I did, I recorded myself drawing then increased the speed. It has inspired me to dedicate more time to this sort of drawing. I love it and I would love to share it with you guys. Here are some my own drawings as well as some of my favorite drawings by other artists. The first two are mine, the rest are by some other artists I admire. I suggest watching HQ/HD where possible. I've recently set-up a twitter account, if you'd like to keep up with me and have a chat every now and again, here's my link. Youssef Sarhan's Twitter I hope you've enjoyed this article.
Last week we began a brief series of posts on Time-Lapse videos that our reader Sanid Jusic sent us. Since he sent us over 115 videos, we had to make it a 4 posts series, and this is #2. Check these out. Time-lapse photography is a cinematography technique whereby each film frame is captured at a rate much slower than it will be played back. When replayed at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. Time-lapse photography can be considered to be the opposite of high speed photography. Of course that after reading a little bit about it we get to know that time-lapse is mainly photography, and these videos are somewhat a technique within time-lapse itself. These guys had this scenes recorded and made it fast forward, but still pretty awesome. Again, check these out, and thanks to Sanid once more! Cheers. :) HD Time Lapse Outside Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena from AlanSmithee on Vimeo. the timelapses alone from felixfotografia on Vimeo. Magical landscape 2.0 from Even Q on Vimeo.
