First of all let me thank you for your beautiful website; it is awesome.
I saw the wallpaper contest thread and became interested in creating such beautiful wallpapers.

If you look at these wallpapers as art, they're all pretty good. But as wallpapers, most of these are not usable, specially for someone with lots of icons on it. My desktop is empty(except for an object dock) and I wouldn't use most of these (to many colors or to crowded), but that's a matter of personal taste only.

Anyway, my personal favorites are no. 11, 19, 56 and 62. Good luck to everyone that entered this contest.

Number 9 is a joke... and some of them are crap... Then's there some that are not, for me this is easy to pick the best, and well not so talented.

Sad to say, but most of them look kinda strange... :S

Hey, I am not precise at all. I just preferred to order this design as it seems better than some of the other ideas I had, which made it look scatty. And regarding noise, if I had left out the bg elements, you would have labelled the piece boring so what can I do, lol?

No offence to any of the authors, but i really suggest leaving the milk splatters ALONE; you are really breaking the number one rule of designing which is: "Observe all of the modern art, and avoid it."
And try to preserve originality PLEASE.
But great job anyways.

you can't force using the packs they give you, that's like taking the wrong puzzle piece and forcing it in, just think and let it flow

what i personally do is just look at stock for hours until i get an idea that fits

WoahManWoah: I agree. When I saw those paint spatterns I imagined an Eagle covered, created with them. That's why I did that wallpaper in this way.
ODMG: I'm sorry, but I didn't even know that rule, I thot that I should do something good and creative enough that others will see my work. But. With some rules you can't win and, as you can see here, you have to use stock from that site. There's no much space to do anything. Btw. Where's your wallpaper? Mine is #36 :)

Im sorry but i gotta say that some of these comments are quite mean and perverse, instead of supporting the effort of some of these guys to make an original piece, you are using bad criticism and saying that this is crap... and there's a lot of taleted designers here. I hope i can see waldobaby work some day, he must be quite better than all of us. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, i guess he dosnt have any beauty on himself and his ayes must be full of crap. Im sorry if im being so hard... is just that his post is very disgusting.
