Wallpaper of the Week #73 - Colorful Light Effect

November 08, 2009 from abduzeedo's blog

The wallpaper of this week is a light effect I created a few weeks ago inspired by an XPeria ad I saw while I was waiting for a flight at the airport. It's basically a light beam with a colorful gradient blended with it.

How to Create a Radical Photo Sequence
On this tutorial I will be showing how to make a radical sequence just like the ones I posted last week. It's very simple and easy and after you read this you can go out and make your own sequence and become inspiration for those who never done it. Ok guys, so the first two things you will need to make your own radical sequence will be a digital camera and a radical friend or a radical stranger will also work hehe.

Wallpaper of the Week #22
The wallpaper of this week is an image I created last weekend when I was playing around with Pixelmator, it's inspired by those bokeh effects in photos. I will write a tutorial showing how I did that soon. Also, if you want to have your wallpaper featured in our WPW series, just send us an email with the link or the image attached. Desktop Version

Book Suggestion - Poke the Box
The book of this week is Poke the Box. Written by Seth Godin, Poke the Box is very inspiring and motivating about initiating and shipping. It makes you think about so many things and makes you want to make things happen. If you're stuck at the starting line, you don't need more time or permission. You don’t need to wait for a boss’s okay or to be told to push the button; you just need to poke.
