I have been quite engrossed in the world of graphic design for about two years now as it is one of the most interesting forms of creative experimentation and development that i have seen from alot of other things.. i have just started my graphic design course at college and i cant wait to go to college 3 times a week just to learn more about what i can do in the creative industry! I need this book because it is the field guide for my journey through space. Without it, I will be lost in the cold darkness for the rest of time. But with this book I will be successful and will complete my mission to find the secret of eternal life said to found on a distant star somewhere around the Horse Head Nebula.

In case you're wondering I'll be taking my ship, The Silver Sparrow. It can travel 100,000 times the speed of light, so I hope to make it back in time to watch the next episode of Battlestar Galactica. Because what's the use of living forever if you can't watch Battlestar Galactica or enjoy excellent books such as Wandering Off Into Space.

Inspiration is a thing feel, motivation is another getting them both is the creation you need.
its always a vision getting the type of creation but when you see and feel the art you will be determined to work hard. thats what was on my mind when i saw the book. thank you

Why I need that book: Well,the 2nd to last picture I saw in a friends Advanced Photoshop, I love it, and was dying to see more work from that artist. I also, as anyone does, loves inspiration and can never get enough of it, especially ones with the amount of colour that one has.

Anyone who takes the time to hop out of the corporate world to appreciate that for a moment, or base a whole graphic portfolio on, deserves mad props. I'm thinking this book is loaded with inspiration and creative techniques, those are exactly what I need to excel in my graphic endeavors. ABDUZEEDO is the best.

I am a high school student in Canada. Around a year ago I stumbled upon the world of typography and ever since I have been obsessed with all areas of visual arts and graphic design. I am still working hard to learn as much as I possibly can about art history as well as the current art and design scene. Each day I look forward to the "daily inspiration" on Abduzeedo and since I have become somewhat of an art geek the "best of the week" is sometimes the most exciting part of my weekend. I realize this is kind of long and most of you don't care but I would love to win this to serve as inspiration towards my own style and future as an artist.

I need this book. I love this particular artist, and admire his work immensely. I just don't have the cash to buy another book, and Christmas shopping is over! I am a student of Digital Arts, with just a few terms to go. Every little bit helps!

Well you see... I kinda sorta REALLY need this book.

About 6 months ago I was abducted by ALIENS, and since then, I have been surfing around space with them. Anyways, after visiting about 50 different galaxies in the last couple of months, I gave the aliens a request: I asked if they could bring me back to Mother Earth.
Soon after I asked this question they were all very confused. Then one of them turned and asked in response, " Why exactly do you want to return so soon?"
"Well," I said, "I wish to return because the one thing I miss the most is my daily dose of graphic design from Abduzeedo.com. And I have been anticipating the arrival of Chuck Anderson's book for some time now. I MUST have it."
At first they hesitated, but as soon as I showed them NOPATTERN.com, my extraterrestrial friends agreed to take me home! They enjoyed Chuck's work so much, that they insisted on getting a copy of that book! However, since my friends don't posses any kind of earthly money, this is the oppurtunity of a lifetime! And if Abduzeedo doesn't provide them with a free copy, they threaten to abduct Chuck Anderson himself and then destroy Earth!

I wake up at 5 am everyday. It took 2 hour to get to my office. The office day starts at 8 am to 6 pm. Another 2 hours to get to home. I open my photoshop at 9 pm, trying to make something new everyday, but inspiration hardly shows up when you exhausted from work. When i get that book, i'll destroy my cubicle, say good bye to my job, then i'll wandering off into space!!!

Both Chuck Anderson and the folks at abduzeedo have played a major part in my growth as a designer. Both have proved that one can successfully pursue a lifestyle of design. "Wondering off Into Space" will keep my inspiration up and the jadedness that threatens every creative at bay. It will also solidify my already giant respect for Chuck and all the amazing work he's pumping out.

I need the book because there's no one around in my area that's into this art. I'm all by myself. I need some new inspiration. Not online but from books. I've got a sister who's into graphic design (thank GOD) so she sometimes comes with new books. But I need this book from Chuck Anderson, because he has been through the same like me; at one point we both had no job, not in school, no income, no nothing.

With this book I'll wander off into space, looking for the origins\inspiration of those unique designs. My simple 'earthling' mind can't understand how an illustration can be so delightful, so powerful.

I Want is because honestly i like this book as a whole starting form its title to its cover design to the inner content artwork selection and its layout. A graphic designer should and must have books such as this for times when he needs inspiration just by looking as nice artwork. For I believe that Inspiration can come from anything but one should have something really worked upon to give your thoughts a direction a spark inside your head to help you start to think or to keep going on. And I know designers will definitely understand what I mean from 'keep going on'. This book would be best given to a Graphic Designer, any who loves art such as in this book.

Chuck Anderson is a superhero.

He daftly combines two of my favorite things - long exposure photography and vibrant colors. For most people, including myself, trying to combine these two disparate elements has been difficult, but because Chuck Anderson is a superhero, he can perform these tasks effortlessly.

And I hear he can make traffic lights turn green just by looking at them intently.

I'm currently floating - wandering, if you will - in space after my vessel had an oxygen leak and exploded. My copilot and I managed to escape in our suits, but he did not make it. Now I am floating outward into eternity...

My only chance of survival is to read "Wandering In Space," a real-life tutorial by Chuck Anderson. From what I understand, he wrote it when he was in my very same situation, and details how he managed to get back home!

(I believe there are also some pretty illustrations of what he saw when he was out here...somewhere in the back of the book or something. I guess those would be nice to view to.)

Designers seem to ‘wander off into space’ a lot...

We deal with the space between content, space between letters and, sadly in recent times, space between projects.
The last thing a designer needs is space between inspiration; yet, thanks to Abduzeedo and Chuck Anderson’s work featured on the site, every day has me excited and ready to design.

I need this book because I too am a freelance designer, and a huge fan of Chuck’s work. Having Chuck’s book would be an amazing source of inspiration and would keep me from ‘wandering off into space’ at my computer, cup of coffee in hand; and I promise you, it will do a lot more then fill space on my desk.

I'm not going to pretend I desperately need this book, because nobody does, but I've spent all my money on people's Christmas presents and math-mechanics books for college, neither of which are anywhere near as exciting as Chuck Anderson and his work. I'm also really floundering with my designing at the moment, and could really do with something as incredible as this to draw inspiration from, especially as my art teacher is threatening to kill me if I don't get into illustration.

Well thats my name, im a graphic designer "appretince" at the time. I need as much inspiration that i can get. I also have 2 other night jobs.

I quited school to work and help out my family, going thru a rough time.

I dont have much mony, because i have to use all the money I earn on my family. We dont have much money, because my mother has got cancer for a year now.

For me to have this book, would be just amazing, and a great christmas present. It would be nice to have something like that to christmas.

I am a huge Chuck Anderson fan. I believe I need this book more than anyone. But I seriously doubt anyone here would share those sentiments. I have a pretty strong library at home that is continuiosly growing. I have a few books by Victionary and this book would fit nicely into my collection. And it won't sit around collecting dust either. It'll be put to good use. Believe me :)

one day, i was born, having nothing in my world. it's so strange. there's no colours, no patterns. boring and dull, it was. i don't bother to think about that but just go through the it everyday dully, or it might suppose to be for the rest of my life. well, that didn't last long, until i met mr. abduzeedo, the first ever one that amazes me. his world was way different than mine. full of tempting colours and inspirations. amazing. he is my aspiration. he made me feel life. since that day, colours appear in my life, inspired by him.

but that's not all. mr abduzeedo introduced me to other amazing worlds. the 1st one i knew was mr chuck anderson. he's the next person i admire, turning my world into another wonderful medium to live. colours are everywhere. nevertheless, it's just 10m perimeter from my place duh. i now have a reason to live; Spread The Colours! i'll explore the world, even into space to colour everything, to help others happy as i was.

one problem tho, i can't have my own inspirations all the time. i can't do it all by myself. mr chuck anderson's help is needed. i spoke to him. he said that only mr abduzeedo can help me. he's left a treasure for me with mr abduzeedo, a book. he wants to help me, cooperate with me to build happy worlds. we also plan to colour the jet black space!

you both give me the reasons to live, enabling me to help others.hopefully you would help us. i don't think you want to disappoint mr chuck anderson.

I don't know who actually truly deserves it or not, but i just like to say that I would like to have it a lot, due to the fact that Chuck's art is my kind of work. I am a big fan of abstract art and truly love almost all aspects of this book and it really is an inspiration. Another reason i would like to have this book is because its a like a small key into the head of this artist and to see what was it he really was thinking.
