"When In Rome" Grafitti Design at the Roman Colloseum by Above

September 14, 2009

We have reported about grafitti artist ABOVE - based in California - numerous times. He started his Grafitti Europe Tour in June where I talked to him about his projects in Copenhagen, Berlin, and Madrid. Now he sent us a great video from the Colosseum in Rome.

WHEN IN ROME... from ABOVE on Vimeo.

I found this "gladiator" in front of the Roman Colosseum where he was asking 5 € from tourists to take a photo with him. I bargained with him and got waaay more than i could of ever imagined.

To get some more impressions

His work is very similar to Banksy's. I like it though :)

Above's work is corny as fuck, why are you guys writing so much about him all the time on here? There are so many better street artists out there that blow his stuff away.. just saying...i find it kind of odd. i guess you are all just clueless about street art and don't know about other artists out there.

anonymous - can you list some other street artists to check out considering this guy sucks in your opinion? i dont much in the street artist realm but would like to see more or see other people your talking about.
