Printing Friends is a magazine about design and creativity which is published by the print house Danagård LiTHO in Sweden. Since 2010 the magazine has been designed on different industry related themes, but in 2014 it was time for something bigger.
Following our series of visual identity constructions, today we bring to you the work done by Mike Collinge for Bosphorus, a Business consulting company based in the United Kingdom.
The name Bosphorus was inspired by the Bosphorus Strait, a stretch of water that runs through Istanbul. Translated it means an Ox fording a river. From this a simple, yet charming Ox character was created to personify the brand.
A reduced color palette featuring just two colors, turquoise and charcoal, gives the brand strong recognition. A series of icons and a three dimensional version of the Ox were created to give the brand a distinctive online presence.
