Mike Campau shared some incredible CGI explorations for beverage campaigns featuring famous brands like Jim Beam, Courvoisier and others. There are tons of different compositions but the ones that caught my attention were the ones that had some flashy and classy neon light effects, not a surprise you might say. Below you can see my favorites, but make sure to click on the link to check out the full collection
Sneakers! We love them, we collect them and why not create imaginative 3D models just like what David Padilla is doing through visual explorations and experiments. They are delightful, playful and purely creative through many styles of color palettes waiting to be devoured by our eyes. David does a tremendous job of giving his personal pieces, visual identities, and proper authority of fashion. Hope you will enjoy!
Inspired by the Ford vs Ferrari movie that I watched last night I had to share this awesome work I saw on Behance this morning. The description of the work goes: In this latest addition to INK Studio’s ‘Plain Bodies’ series, in which they free historic race cars from their period liveries, they honor the sculpted curves and seductive form of the Ferrari 330 P4, cited by many as the most beautiful car of all time.
Peter Tarka is a designer with an incredible portfolio. I literally spent hours just checking his work and paying attention to the details. Peter’s 3D style is quite friendly, for lack of better word. It reminds me of Nintendo games actually. I know, it’s not the best comparison, however you can see that his style is quite popular, just check the list of clients he has worked with, including brands like: Apple, Nike, Airbnb, Google, Audi, BMW, Microsoft, At&t, Lg, Pinterest. Verizon, Qualcomm, Fortune and many more.
I know this might sound crazy and you can unfollow me right now, but, I am not a fan of the Star Wars franchise. I actually enjoyed watching the first trilogy back in the 80s. I have this clear memory of a Sunday afternoon, a rainy day. My parents are sleeping on the sofa and my brother and I are on the floor with blankets watching the rerun on TV. It’s incredible how some memories stay so crisp in our conscious, perhaps because those were truly happy moments not because of any achievements but just because the simplicity of a moment with people you love.
We have already featured Stuart Lippincott here on ABDZ and will keep doing it because he keeps delivering incredible and inspiring work with his Everydays series of posts. For this post we will feature some from the December Everydays 2019, make sure to check out his work for the full set of images. Ah, in case you wonder, the tools used were After Effects, Maxon Cinema 4D and Octane Render.
As the beginning of the year settling its sails, I think it's important to set off some goals and TRY your hardest to accomplish them. I think it's the hardest part! In my case, I always wanted to do more CGI/3D related works to be specific. I tried many times but it's not a 'demand' per se towards my daily work so it's hard to keep giving it more time. To push that 'inspiration' going to one day strive enough boost to learn. Let's take a look at the 'PAPERWORK' series by atelier MARTINI _. Let's be clear here, it's not real paper. Woah!
Luis de la Barrera-Montenegro is a visual artist, 3D, motion artist based in Madrid, Spain. He has been making an interesting 3D digital art series about our everyday tools as we all commonly know them about. But in his series, he actually replaced the elements or shall we call them components used instead of actually making 3D renders of the tool itself. The results are so clever and remarkable. Hope you will enjoy this collection!
Zombie Studio with Isaac Buzzola Chene and Claudio Jr shared an amazing motion design and 3D project on their Behance page for the Dia de los Muertos. I know, we’re late in the game by a few weeks, that’s okay, because the work they shared is amazing independent of time. In addition to that, the fact that it features or it’s a unique and creepy performance of Gorillaz makes things much more awesome.
Construed MIMIC III is the 3rd installment of the series of studies of Picasso's artwork and translation to 3D form using Maxon Cinema 4D and Otoy Octane. The project was created by Omar. Aqil and it's been a great experience for him as he mentioned on his Behance post. "I have learned a lot from his work" - he adds. Omar this time picked six art pieces from Picasso's work and try to recreate them in a different way. "I am trying to explore more complexity and abstraction of the shapes he used" - adds Omar.
If there is one thing that gets me really inspired is retro sports car. I posted about this before, but who doesn’t remember those amazing Lamborghini Countach posters that were all over kids walls in the 80s? Well, perhaps no one, but that’s okay because Marcin Karkowski came to the rescue with an amazing project he shared on Behance.
I am gonna start by saying that social media platforms can have its benefits and its disadvantages. I won't be the first to tell you that I have experience both and it's not always a fairytale. Again, it's a sense of control that you give yourself on, do you let yourself submerge yourself into the endless sea of notifications or give it some control. Continuing the pursuit of my discoveries of talented designers and artists from Switzerland, I would like to present the work of Andrea Philippon who is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
As I am finalizing my next 'thoughts on' how I am reflecting my move to Switzerland. It's an ABDZ tradition to scramble around Behance to find and discover designers and artists from the beautiful country I am currently living in. There are so many finds and many talented designers to feature on Abduzeedo, this is the beginning of something new. As starters, we are looking at this nonsense (a play on words) 3D series and it has been designed by Roman Bratschi.
The iconic Nizo S 800 Braun Super 8 was made in Germany by Niezoldi & Krämer / Braun. This thing is a beautiful piece of history, one of the best super8 cameras ever built. This camera is gorgeous in terms of design, usability and how cool you used to look when filming. We are featuring the 3D creation by Jason Zigrino who built the Nizo S 800 right from scratch with Maxon Cinema 4D, ArionFX, Fusion 360 and Redshift3D. The result is magnificent and we had to find a slot to share this 3D achievement. Just take a look at the details, the dials, the font used and everything. Just wow!
Iancarlo Reyes is an art director, design and 3D artist from Carolina, Puerto Rico. With 18 years of experience in developing and working on memorable, and exciting projects, campaigns, or images for numerous clients. Iancarlo still finds time to create some incredible 3D characters, recreating superheroes and villains. The cool thing about his work is the style, it adds a nice cartoon look to the world-wide famous characters, including the new Joker. The result is simply awesome. Check it out.
Happy Friday everyone! We would like to share the work of Danny Ivan who is a freelance 3D Imagery maker / Art Director for motion based in Porto, Portugal. His illustration series is entitled: Interference of Light 2.0, a beautiful set of creative experimentations using Maxon Cinema 4D and of course Photoshop. As I quote here from Danny: "The big goal here is to transmit a certain of serenity with these abstract images on a technology electric world."
Constantin Paschou aka The french monkey shared an incredible 3D project titled ''EVERYDAYS''. It is an open source project, dedicated to Cinema4D users. Counting more than 800+ Free Project Files. The fine folks from Mondlicht Studios have shared their CGI recreation of the iconic Lancia Stratos HF Zero. For those who are not familiar with the Lancia Stratos, well it's a sports car and rally car made by Italian car manufacturer Lancia. The rally portion of the car won the World Rally Championship in 1974, 1975 and 1976. What is the most striking aspect of the car is its design.
Olivier Pautot is a 3D designer based in Besançon, France with an incredible portfolio of 3D work, especially, in my opinion, the fun and whimsical character design ones. The work has so much personality that is hard to translate how I feel every time I see one of his projects. That’s the main reason I would love to share here with you. By the way, I was surprised I have not posted about Olivier yet.
Daniel Lepik shared some incredible graphic design 3D compositions he explored mixing light and gaussian blur effects. He mentioned that the work was Inspired by early summer mornings… Dawn explores smooth gradients through refractive surfaces and light. “Looking at the series in total silence makes you hear the soft sounds of sea and sand particles.” - adds Daniel. Everything about these pieces are intriguing and inspiring. The tools used for such beautiful renderings was Maxon Cinema 4D with Octane render.
