Did you get a chance to watch Blade Runner 2049 this Weekend? I still haven't, sadly. With this movie release, many of us have been re-exploring that movie genre but for us on ABDZ; it's photography! We are taking a look at this nightscape photography series by FIELD IO, where are we headed this time? In the streets of Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei also known as “The World’s Greatest Electronics Market where after some exploration on Adobe Lightroom, Marcus decided to create a series based on that uncanny atmosphere popularly inspired in the original Blade Runner movie. FIELD IO is the work of Marcus Wendt who is a designer and visual artist from London, UK. You should definitely check out his Behance for more of his work. Plunged into a foreign dark I found a new way of seeing, strange and alien. Synthetic light creeps into my eyes, the air thick with colours shifting and angles unbending. In the midst of the night a new day begins. More Links Learn more about FIELD IO at field.io Follow FIELD IO on Instagram Photography

I have been doing the Beautiful Houses post for a while now, and I am also a big fan of architecture. And although I browse architecture related sites looking for inspiring houses, every single day I get impressed with new architectural master pieces.Today we will show you the beautiful Holistic Health Club, a project by Crox International. The shapes, wood, colours, and the style of the house create a modern and relaxed place for meditation and comfort.Description from the architects:We often experience nature’s beauty from afar? generally from our comfort zones. A subtle separation can create the safety we need, and from a place of peace, we can then enjoy and ponder the wonders and beauties of nature. The layout was configured through the use of flexible thresholds, i.e. curtains and movable mirrors, to create an open environment that can be utilized freely as well as closed for exclusive workshops. The light that reflects inwards derives from the sunlit courtyard outside, it dances around the atmosphere, spreading light and shadow throughout One Taste.Check out Crox International website for further inspiring projects. We found this house at Contemporist.

This is a really special project. A school for children developed with an amazing care both in aesthetic appeal as the internal planning, and of course the main function that deserves our full attention, offering to the childrens a unique learning and consequently grow as individuals. Located in China, Dalian is a school project by Debbas Architecture. In this project what attracted our attention is mainly is the arrangement of buildings, the architects have created several blocks rotated thinking of a better use of solar in all the environments. In this program we have spaces such as classrooms, sleeping rooms, bathrooms with showers, kitchen and dining area, ballet and music rooms, reading area and, of course, an outdoor area with a large playground for kids. They deserve it! © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer Overall, our concept was to create a fluid and spiritual environment distant from the more mechanistic, rigid and prosaic late-modern designs that have come before it. We want to allow the architecture to invigorate a child’s sense of wonder and generate unique memories without resorting to theatrical stage design or applied nostalgic detailing. © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer © Shu He Photographer
The simple shapes and the composition of blocks unseated mark the architecture of County Elementary School, by the chineses Vector Architects. A unique architectural design, abusing the contrast of colors and the use of light and imposing lines. The school has 48 classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, sports area, administration area and has a beautiful outdoor area for sports. The mixture of metal with the red block, and large tears of glass made a perfect combination, making me think about how easy it to make architecture, just because what simple and beautiful that was the end result. In the mockups and drafts we also note the evolution of design and get a better sense of the whole building. Our goal is to establish a unique place within the school that encourages interaction between the students and teachers through their daily learning and teaching life. - Vector Architects © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe A series of green technologies are proposed in this project, such as geothermal system, storm water management, green roof, permeable landscape, passive ventilation, maximized natural daylight, recycled material and etc. - Vector Architects © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe © ShuHe
