Adobe Firefly Boards launches worldwide with new AI tools, partner models, and video features, giving creatives a unified space to ideate and collaborate.
Adobe just announced the worldwide launch of Firefly Boards, opening up a powerful, AI-first space for creatives in more than 30 countries. Designed as a unified canvas for ideation, iteration, and collaboration, Firefly Boards blends the exploratory chaos of brainstorming with the clarity of a toolset built for real workflows.
At its core, Boards lets you bring together the best models in one space, Adobe Firefly models alongside trusted partners like Flux, Google, Luma AI, Moonvalley, Pika, and Runway. That means photographers, filmmakers, and designers can now explore images, video, text, and motion studies without hopping between apps.
New Features: Faster From Idea to Iteration
The global release introduces three standout features:
Presets: One-click styles like Virtual Try On or Electric Party that instantly visualize ideas, powered by Firefly and models from Black Forest Labs, Google, and more.
Generative Text Edit (beta): Swap or update text directly in visuals, in-context, without leaving Boards.
Describe Image: Drop in an image and Boards creates a ready-to-use generative prompt, making iteration more intuitive than guessing keywords.
Together, these features are about moving from inspiration to iteration with less friction, a tactile environment where ideas shape themselves as you build.
New Video Models for Motion-First Creativity
With the launch, Adobe also added Runway Aleph and Moonvalley Marey generative video models into Boards. They join a growing lineup that includes Luma AI’s Ray3, Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image and Veo 3, and Pika 2.2. This means filmmakers can now generate storyboards using reference videos, design teams can create dynamic motion clips from static frames, and everyone gets more starting points to play with style and sequence.
Creatives on Firefly Boards
Adobe built Boards on community feedback, and creatives are already putting it to work:
Chris Grubisa, CEO of Let’s Cook Editing Services, noted:
“Using Firefly Boards, I can quickly generate and iterate multiple visual concepts for a creative commercial proposal. It saves me time, lets me refine my storyboards effortlessly, and helps me deliver a polished moodboard to the client in record time.”
Why It Matters
For the Abduzeedo audience, Firefly Boards isn’t just another AI launch. It’s a rethink of the ideation phase aka the part of the creative process where things are most fluid, messy, and exciting. By weaving AI into that early stage, Adobe is making it easier to capture sparks, remix ideas, and collaborate in real time across media.
And with new subscription options, from Firefly Standard to Premium, more creators can access unlimited canvases, Firefly generations, Adobe Stock integration, and premium partner models under one login.
Whether you’re a designer sketching moodboards, a filmmaker storyboarding sequences, or a team collaborating across disciplines, Firefly Boards makes the act of “what if” less daunting and more immediate.
Download Firefly in the iOS App Store or Google Play and share your creations with #AdobeFirefly.
Adobe Firefly Features
Presets let you generate images in different styles with one click. For example, use Product and Character to instantly visualize a product alongside a model.
Generative Text Edit (beta) lets you change or replace text inside an image while keeping the style consistent. It’s built for quick tweaks and fast iterations, so you can stay in the creative flow without jumping between tools.
Describe Image turns any picture into a ready-to-use AI prompt. Instead of struggling to find the right words, you can build on visual inspiration instantly and refine from there.
