Today Adobe announced the addition of 665 fonts from Monotype, one of the largest most influential type providers in the world, to the Adobe Typekit library; as well as new type features coming to Illustrator CC and InDesign CC. The Monotype fonts now available for sync offer some of the most well-known and beloved type to Creative Cloud users, spanning 41 different font families across a range of styles.
Many of the fonts were originally designed in the early 20th century and have been updated and refined over the years to bring them from their original use cases such as the letterpress, hot-metal typesetting and phototypesetting to the digital era. Highlights of the collection include the 80s film classic Rockwell Nova.(Stranger Things, anyone?), the bold and sophisticated the commercially popular Gills Sans, and the popular choice for titles and branding
We are thrilled to expand our alliance with Adobe and make it easier for creative professionals to access the premium fonts they need in the world’s most widely adopted creative tools. The additional designs, along with improved availability through the Typekit Library and Typekit Marketplace, provides enhanced value to our joint customers. - Mike Matteo, Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnerships, Monotype
