It's been a little while I haven't looked for 'Cyberpunk Inspiration' and I was surprised by the amount of love this era is still getting all the time. Let's admit it's the best decade ever! I stumbled across the work of Dana Ulama who first of all deserves much love since her work is very beautiful and you can tell that she is a burst of creativity in her art. It's inspiring! I personally dig her work where she is exploring pieces surrounding the golden hour. I just love the tones and the subtleness with the shadow.
DYST Op. Became a reality thanks to the global "pandemic" that touched us all. Yes, you read that right, thanks to the pandemic! For many years Lucas Savelli wanted to learn 3D and start creating his own world, but he never managed to make this dream come true.
In less than a month, the anticipated game of Cyberpunk 2077 will finally be here. I feel we have been waiting for this game for years and we did. The kind folks from CD Projekt Red and cie have been released a bunch of really awesome videos on their YouTube. It's a series of videos giving us a step inside the world of Cyberpunk 2077, and this is pure.
Dale Anne Scogings is a photographer and creative director based in South Africa. We are sharing her photography inspired by the off-world of Cyberpunk and neo-noir culture that we dearly love on abdz. Dale does an excellent job to capture moments from the streets of Japan, a country where she spent a couple of years living and also through her traveling across Asia.
Sabbath Studio is a branding studio based Monterrey, Mexico. They shared a branding project wholly inspired by Dystopian Futures, Cyberpunk, Sci-fi / Neo-noir Cult Films & Anime themed aesthetics by client request. Let's just mention that again: 'by client request'. This is so cool and the result is just perfect and true representation of that cult era that we dearly love.
I am sharing this project by colorsponge . for two particular reasons. First of all, the project I am featuring is what I called: 'A cyberpunk story' which is something I love dearly and second of all after taking a closer look. It's made entirely in CGI! Really! I would never think this would be made entirely in CGI but it actually is. It's quite expressive, I especially love how colorsponge . visually approached the main character and obviously the car.
Day 14 of Confinement. Was it the future we all wished a couple of decades ago? One thing for sure, the entire planet is currently experiencing an 'invisible thread' that has touched many for the past weeks. Our advice to you? Listen to your leaders and make sure to take proper hygiene measures to stay safe. Whenever I am watching the news and see the emptiness of some of the cities in the world. You cannot help to think about scenarios of fictional movies about the off-world. It's really weird facing this type of realism.
What can I say, the recent news is really taking its exaction on the entire world. It has been touching us somehow and it's really important to keep the spirit up during these very hard times. Try to keep yourself informed during 'allowed timeslots', don't you just spend the entire day watching the news. It's unhealthy for your mind. Let's take Ilya Volgin for example. He has been creating a series titled: 'MINSK3049' in homage of his marvelous city of Minks during this quarantine period.
There will always be a time on ABDZ for 'Cyberpunk Love', we are continuing our journey as kids from the 80s. We basically grew with this culture, might as well cherish it until the end of times. On that note, I am delighted to share the work of Alberto Urra and his incredible feed of 'Cyberpunk' and 'Night Photography'. I am been following Alberto for a little while and truly am a fan of his work. First of all, the angles of his shots are creative and unique in the sense where the perspective is sharing a look to another dimension.
It looks like one of the new trends will be the cyberpunk one. From video-games like Cyberpunk 2077 to the of course incredibly polemic Cybertruck from Tesla. My prediction is that we will see more and more references to that style not only in the design industry but in general. One area that is clear that is already drinking from that source is special effects and motion design. Mikhail Shandra and Eduard Mykhailov shared an incredible post last year on their Behance.
Well it is November 2019 and carmakers from Tesla didn't hold back and introduced the Cybertruck. What was your first impressions? At first, I didn't like the design (still don't) but it definitely looks straight out of the 1982's Blade Runner which is pretty dope if you ask me.
François here from ABDZ, it's been a little while since I last shared an update on my Osore Lightroom Presets. I was kept pretty busy with my personal life and building ABDZ at the same time. I did find some time to finally release my new Lightroom presets titled: Osore Shanghai.
Fabio Araujo has been tagging us via our Instagram and we have discovered his work. He has been sharing a project titled: Sci-Fi Emarat which is his take on reimagining a future by using his creativity, iPhone photography and Adobe Photoshop. There are imaginative pieces of the Etihad Towers, Museum of the Future, Airport Road; all places photographed from his home in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Which one is your favorite?
More than a week ago, the rad folks from CD Projekt Red announced and broke the entire internet with the introduction of Keanu Reeves to the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game coming in 2020. Keanu will be playing as Johnny Silverhand. I can't wait to play this game, but for now CD Projekt Red release concept art posters that might represent the different style of character we will get to play.
We have featured the trailer and behind-the-scenes stills from the first teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2013 on ABDZ. I remember it literally broke the internet, everyone just couldn't wait to play this game, it was taking into the future of the off-world. Well, it's coming (finally!) and after more than 5 years of a wait! We are finally getting a release date on April 16th, 2020 (mark your calendar!).
We have featured the unique work from Evgeny Zubkov before on ABDZ. A parallel reality in Russia 2077, now he is back with another series just as good titled: Carbongrad 1999. Keeping the very same Cyberpunk aesthetic and moody atmosphere, I plain simple love his digital art. It's genuinely so creative and quite real as well, I wouldn't be surprised knowing this might be happening for real in the near future.
I wanted to share an update on my Osore Lightroom Presets, I finally got the time to work on a request I have been receiving a lot. Here it is: "How to Install Presets on your Smartphone (without a laptop)", it's a request I get at least once a week. I actually already wrote an article about a few things you can do, check it out!
Let's pay a visit into the Cyberpunk World with this incredible illustration series by Evgenij Kungur, a freelance artist from Кунгур, Russian Federation. Taking right back into the underworld of Blade Runner, with its futuristic spaceships, neons, animated billboards and more. He shared three different styles of illustrations including its variants. But the coolest part is seeing the process behind each artwork, make sure to check it out.
With the release of Osore Sararīman and Runner1982 presets, I kept on experimenting with different tones of colours and see how people will be interacting with them on Instagram. As I was connecting with some of you, I noticed there is a definite interest in the universe of the off-world.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Weekend! We would like to start off this week with a Cyberpunk-feel inspired experimental short film entitled: Muse. Superb soundtrack by Morgan Willis, we are invited to watch a bunch of short sequences taking us through a journey of the imaginary future world and space. You might feel some resemblance to movies like Blade Runner and the recent movie of Ghost in the Shell. Let's give a beautiful accomplishment and shout to Guangyu Li.
