Keine Werbung, meaning No Advertisement, is usually found on post boxes throughout Germany. As it was one of the first things Nicolaas Kotzé noticed when he arrived in Berlin some years ago. “I did't know what it meant back then before I could speak German. It always fascinated me as it serves to prevent people from putting adverts or "junk mail" in your post box (without much success)” - said Nicolaas. Some of these are hand written and some are stickers made by different print shops. Some big and some small in all different fonts and colors and have since been a source of interest of mine. With that in mind, Nicolaas decided to create some typographic illustrations inspired by the message.
