Architects, Designers and Makers worldwide are invited to attend DesignMashup 2019, a 2-part,10-day immersive Italian design experience and workshop to energize and transform their creative work.
DesignMashup 2019 starts in Milan with a 3-day immersion in modern design and Italian design progression and builds to a 7-day immersive design workshop at the Civita Institute in Italy’s most beautiful hill town, Civita di Bagnoregio. Each segment of the experience will be led by a team of noted designers and guided by experts in Italian design and craft, history, architecture and culture to inspire personal transformation and redefine the personal design poetics of each participant.

During the 3-day Milan design immersion experience participants will absorb Milan’s vibrant creative energy with visits to its edgy design museums, galleries, showrooms, historic design districts, and iconic modern architecture.
The second part of this powerfully transformative experience is a 7-day workshop at the Civita Institute in stunning Civita di Bagnoregio with a mix of instruction, structured discussions, creative exploration, and hands-on development of each participant’s DesignMashup project. Surprise excursions during the week provide a break from workshop activity and spark deeper design-thinking.
The pinnacle of the experience is Presentation Day. Each participant will discover their personal design poetics as they share their research, inspiration and prototype in the Civita Institute garden and celebrate their transformative week at DesignMashup 2019.

DesignMashup Workshops are innovative 2-part, 10-day immersive travel+create experiences for Architects, Designers and Makers. Our mission is to elevate design and promote creative freedom through inspirational cultural, historical and creative exchange. Workshops are held twice annually and are limited to a group of 12 participants.
