Cafetal — visual identity with a prehispanic and modern typeface

Cafetal is a balmy area off the lobby of Tulum’s Conrad hotel that serves high-quality coffee, pastries, light breakfast in the morning, and other artisanal items during the day, with a sophisticated area serving mature food and beverages.

tbpmx created a prehispanic concept inspired by local moving markets known as tianguis, influenced by cacao seeds, colors, and textures reflected in the visual system through refined illustrations applied in sustainable packaging and menus. The identity is topped with a prehispanic and modern typeface selection, a contrasting and cuneiform-inspired logotype, and a warm color palette composed of earthy tones with colorful accents. Overall an authentic Mexican aesthetic was achieved with an elegant twist, becoming the market where guests can find anything.

Fresh Mexican ingredients all day everyday.
