Ah the beautiful city of Amsterdam, I had the chance for a quick visit back in late March. Following this visit, I am having a smile thinking of today's announcement with Adobe Stock + Adobe Dimension CC and the Rijksmuseum. The National Museum dedicated to arts and history based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Together in this collaboration, they are introducing a collection of free 3D models inspired by the Rijksmuseum collection.
In 2013, the world-famous Rijksmuseum took the unusual step of offering digital downloads of its collection free of charge. In its next move to embrace digitization, the Rijksmuseum today announced that it’s partnering with Adobe Stock and Dimension CC to launch a free collection of 3D digital models, based off of 28 physical objects from the Rijksmuseum collection.
One of the biggest challenges that designers face when using 3D design tools is having access to reliable, high-quality, photorealistic 3D models. By offering these assets for free on Adobe Stock, the partnership allows designers and artists to utilize and seek inspiration from real-world objects that would otherwise be inaccessible. The assets are also useful for artists looking to add classic art inspiration into their modern designs.
