An invitation to the most important day of your life shouldn't be boring, it should be just as awesome as your wedding day. I selected some truly amazing invitations from people that love design and took the time to make their invitation super awesome. Enjoy!
There ain’t no rules around here. We’re trying to accomplish something.

The wedding invitation set for our wedding. Designed and made by my wife and I using our home printer, and a rented laser cutter/engraver.
Our wedding was in the woods, and we hoped the pop-up trees would give our prospective guests a taste of event they would be attending. The RSVP card was perforated, which let the guest remove the response card and keep a handy map of the surrounding area.
An accordion-style field-guide was also included, with illustrations done by my wife of local plants and animals.

My wife and I met in high school and had been together for over ten years before we decided to get hitched. Our wedding was to be held on a beautiful, grassy hill on a farm in Charlottesville, VA, with the reception taking place in an old barn. We wanted a rustic-yet-elegant wedding invitation that represented our wedding and our personalities. Since we were to be married on our 11-year anniversary, I envisioned an infographic timeline of our lives showing how long we had been together. A Venn diagram monogram evolved out of this and informed the rest of the design, including icons, a map, and a flow chart. I chose letterpress to bring an intimate quality to the invitations, and I designed with that in mind. The monogram consists of two colors, overprinted to create a third color where they overlap. We packaged them into paper bag-colored envelopes and rubber stamped them to keep with the rustic farm wedding tone and truly reflect our personalities.

I created the design in Illustrator then laser cut/engraved the design onto thin pieces of wood. For the back, I simply printed the design on yellow paper.
