House Of Cultivar are on a mission to "cultivate, curate, and celebrate craft cannabis". They commissioned Made Up Studio to create an identity for their new product: COLORS. The brief was to create an identity that communicated the many 'strains' inherent in this new product, suggestive of a 'remix', with colors and forms coming together to create something new.
3D typography is a powerful tool for creating eye-catching and visually striking designs. By adding an extra dimension to traditional text, 3D typography can be used to create a sense of depth and movement in a design. This is especially effective when used as key art for a brand, as it can help to grab the attention of the viewer and communicate the brand's message in a unique and memorable way.
In addition to using 3D typography as key art, it can also be useful to create an animated version of the design. This can be particularly effective if the brand is trying to convey a sense of energy or movement, as the animation will help to bring the design to life.
Another way to make use of 3D typography is to create an editable poster for new releases. This can be a great way to create a cohesive look and feel for a brand, as the poster can be customized with the brand's color palette and typeface usage. This can help to ensure that all of the brand's marketing materials have a consistent look and feel, which can be especially important when trying to establish a strong brand identity.
Finally, it can be helpful to create a stripped back vector version of the type with brand guidelines relating to logo usage, color palette, and typeface usage. This can be useful for creating templates or for use in situations where the full 3D typography design may not be appropriate. By providing clear guidelines for how the brand's logo and typography should be used, it is easier for designers and marketers to create materials that accurately reflect the brand's identity.
I created some 3D typography, to be used as key art for the new brand, in addition to an animated version, an editable poster for their new releases, and a stripped back vector version of the type with brand guidelines relating to logo usage, colour palette, and typeface usage.

Whether it is used as key art, in an animated version, as part of an editable poster, or in a stripped back vector version, 3D typography can help to establish a strong and cohesive brand identity.
