Mario De Meyer shared a set of really intriguing vector illustrations titled Novelty Waves. It’s the fourth installment of the series where Mario explores organic ways to deform lines. Imagine a 3D topographic view on steroids. The most fascinating thing is the tool of choice for this work. Mario mentions Illustrator alone, which makes me wonder how he did them. My first guess was that it was done using Photoshop Displace Map or even 3D. It looks like we will have to wait for a future tutorial or walkthrough from the designer.
