Cadillac Mural & Typographic Illustration by Mark van Leeuwen

Cadillac Mural & Typographic Illustration by Mark van Leeuwen

I've been following the work of Mark van Leeuwen for years, especially on his Instagram. His stylish works in lettering and type clearly made a difference in our day-to-day with typography. We are taking a look at this very cool mural for Cadillac (Europe) painted in Munich, Germany for what they called: Stroke Art Fair. You just gotta love the colour contrast used with a simple black and white, I personally do love the 360 approach taken on the car display to show both sides of the car instead of one. Move the World Mural Drawings by Deck Two

Move the World Mural Drawings by Deck Two

Very cool project title for a mural drawing by Deck two who is an artist from Paris, France. Entitled: Move the World, we follow him on this absolute beautiful drawing showcasing the important landmarks of the World. It's quite stunning and I can't even imagine the level of patience it would take to work on this kind of project. Props to Thomas for his incredible dedication! One of my last mural project in Memphis, Tennessee. A huge 2,6 x 13 meters long panoramic view in the entrance of JKI offices. That mural embraces all the famous places in the world that the company has been reaching through the years. Long days of work to complete this freehand mural with just a couple of Molotow acrylic markers. I chose a small 2mm nib to get as much details as I could so the visitors could stare at the walls to discover all the hidden details. I hope you guys will like it too. Digital Natives Mural by Ben Johnston

Digital Natives Mural by Ben Johnston

We would love to share some of the recent work from our good friend Ben Johnston who is a designer & letterer from Toronto, Ontario. It's always an inspiration to see what Ben is working on and quite impressive as well. We are taking a look at this mural for Digital Natives, what is so cool about this piece is the text effect expressed which is some kind of a distortion that for us would be quite a good jam on Photoshop. But imagine on a mural? The result is just stunning, props to Ben! Liberty Market Murals

Liberty Market Murals

Our good friend Ben Johnston always have been making beautiful murals for quite some time now. Big or small, it's always being an impressive process and really inspiring for us. Also Ben always take the time to have a proper setup so he can share his behind-the-scenes which fit perfectly with this typographic style. We are sharing today his latest work at the Liberty Market located in Downtown, Toronto of Canada. Lifetime Development Inc. presented Ben Johnston with the opportunity to create and paint two murals on the face of the Liberty Market Building, a hallmark structure in Toronto’s Liberty Village. From concept to creation, the verbiage and aesthetic of each piece was selected to pay homage to the urban revitalization of this formerly industrial hub, turned bustling community. Each mural was designed to both stand-alone and work in conjunction with the other, using bold, impactful typography intended to bring the sentiments to life. “Hustle” speaks to the entrepreneurial spirit and vibrancy of those who work and play in Liberty Village. While “Love Liberty” captures the magnetism, history and resounding sense of pride that has grown within the community throughout it’s development. About Ben Johnston Ben is a self-taught designer, letterer & illustrator from Cape Town, currently based in Toronto, Canada. With his kickass talent, he had the opportunity to work with brands like: Disney, Virgin, Audi, Saatch & Saatchi and just to name a few. More information via his Behance.

La Saint Paire: Creative Tandem

La Saint Paire: Creative Tandem

I don't work with my hands as much as I would love to. So I do admire the people that work hard with their hands, especially with mural painting. It's a crazy long process with many layers of steps for such an impressive result. With no particular taste as what kind of art from graffiti, lettering or even a mosaic piece of art. We are showcasing the work of La Sainte Paire and their work is simply (as they well put it)  Tout-Terrain. This creative tandem has it all as different as complementary field, sharing their time on paper to develop a unconventional style mixing symbolic references, caricatures, typographical games , comics, absurd characters in ever more surprising designs as one to another. They turned and reinterprets everyday scenes, objects and images with humor to immerse the viewer in their more than offbeat. Each composition is full of details, it is a real tote ubiquitous references in popular collective memory. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); About La Saint Paire La Saint Paire is the duo team of NOOGAMAN and OSPER (great names) that focus their art into illustration and "Fresque". It's a term that will be more definite with mural painting techniques. Video For more information: http://lasaintepaire.com
