Typography: HK Spec™ Typeface by Alfredo Marco Pradil

Typography is the soul of a design project. It's what makes the communication possible. As one of my good professor's and mentor used to say, typography is the physical version of the language. I used to be really into collecting font families, from T-26, Emigre, FF, House Industries, you name it. When I changed my focus to the web in the late 90s and early 2000s I had to simply rely on the web-safe fonts. Now with the web fonts and amazing technology to embed fonts, it's time to get that loving feeling back. For this post, I'd love to share a project that Alfredo Marco Pradil titled HK Spec™ Typeface.

HK Spec™ is a versatile typeface with one weight and one style. This low contrast typeface may be used as titles, headers, interface menu labels, signage, information text, environmental graphics type, and web type that can be sized at a minimum of 12pts.

Try designing with only one font style—restricting your options will heighten your creativity and problem solving.
