July Portfolio Inspiration Collection by Semplice

Hi! I’m Tobias van Schneider. I’m the co-founder of Semplice, a portfolio system by designers for designers. We’re teaming up with Abduzeedo to share inspiring design portfolios each month. Here we’ll curate the best online portfolios from visual artists, branding studios, product graphic designers, art directors and more – all created from scratch using Semplice.

Safehaven

Safehaven’s work doesn’t need much setup or fanfare. A simple grid on a black background is enough – his artistic, experimental posters for Skrillex and others speak for themselves.

Robert Reinartz

Nothing pleases us more than seeing designers continually refresh their portfolio design. Semplice makes it easy to switch up the whole layout or add new projects, so you can always keep your site current. Robert Reinartz’s recent homepage refresh is the perfect example. The unique window designs paired with the playful page transition feel fresh and unexpected.

Meghan Armstrong

Meghan Armstrong uses the four-corner navigation for her site, a Semplice Studio feature that fits her style perfectly. Her case studies are our favorite part, though, clean and easy to scan with lovely custom typography and large, crisp imagery.

Gyor Moore

Another recent refresh, Gyor Moore’s homepage includes a scrolling grid of images and videos. Hover over them and the background changes to match the work, all of which amounts to a striking yet effortless vibe.

Marina Rachello

Marina Rachello’s site is one of the most unique we’ve seen from our Semplice family, entirely text-based with beautiful custom typefaces. Her whole homepage doubles as a bio, giving us a distinct impression of who Marina is and what she offers – all without images.

Vedros Studio

The Vedros Studio site features many subtle yet thoughtful details: The snappy page transitions, the “Next Project” teasers with matching hover effects, the case studies customized to fit the work. Simple, tasteful choices that make for a solid and sophisticated site.
