Anthony Lam shared a branding and graphic design project for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, “Empafashion Design” is a project which aims to build up a “Community-Welfare-Business-Academic” cross-sectoral collaboration network in local neighborhoods. By connecting the organizations focusing on active-aging studies and services, the project aims to promote sustainable social engagement, community empowerment and foster social cohesion and inclusion through adopting expressive textile arts and fashion.
The key visual of the project epitomizes the energy generated during the expressive textile arts and fashion creation process, abstracted by the array of geometries symbolizing the sewing, stitching and fabrication works. Together with the use of contrasting and vivid colors, the identity visually sparks up the power of arts and fashion in elderly group, responding to the project as a community network weaver.
