João Teixeira shared another beautiful industrial design project. Meet “Drop”, the table lamp that marks my first ever lamp design for the studio. “Drop” because it is inspired by the ripple effect in water caused by drops but also because you can always drop some daily tech objects on it and charge them wirelessly (like airpods or smart waches)
I’m also a huge fan of Gantri work and Louis Poulsen designs (especially PH 5), so for this design approach I’ve mainly focused on a balanced mix between both languages, whether through materials, shapes or even the emotional aspect of it.
