A few months ago I started seeing some poster in San Francisco about this game called L.A Noire. The text effect was really cool, sort of old style neon effect. I know I have done a few tutorials showing how to create this type of effect, but I needed to do that again in Photoshop.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine wanted to know how to create a sort of 3D globe effect using Photoshop. I didn't know how to do that but I got really intrigued with that, so I decided to give it a try. I knew that the Spherize would work in this case but didn't know how.

I have received quite a few emails asking me how to create an embroidery effect in Photoshop. It is a really nice effect and I had no idea how to do that in Photoshop. So one of these days while running I sort of had this idea of using the Scribble effect in Illustrator and then going to Photoshop to make it look real.

I love some apps that recreate amplifiers with leather and those controllers. I have been thinking about doing a tutorial on that for quite long time, so today I decided to learn how to do that and then try to explain how I did it to you guys.

Sunday is the day to play with Photoshop and try some new ideas. As usual I went through some books and Web sites to find some inspiration. I am still addicted to the Handy Book of Artistic Printing, it's a must-have book for some old style print references.

A few weeks ago I wrote a tutorial showing how to create a stylish metallic button effect using Photoshop. In that tutorial I posted to conclusions and one of them had a light effect in the text. The tutorial was well received and a lot of people wanted to know how to create that effect.

I woke up this morning thinking about an idea for a tutorial, then I remembered that last week I saw a really nice text effect that the characters were made of bread if I am not making any mistake. So I thought it would be really nice to create a text made of cookies just using Photoshop.

Last Saturday I was checking Dribbble for some inspiration when I came across this beautiful design created by a Portuguese designer called Emanuel Sa. It was an icon with some beautiful metal effects, so I decided to learn how to do that in Photoshop.
