Keeper — Designed for Tomorrow Furniture

João Teixeira shared another clever and well-crafted industrial design project. As the global pandemic still takes place almost everywhere, there's a lot of habits we've created to deal with this issue. One of these habits is related to how often we take our shoes and leave them at the entrance before walking around the house.

Designed for Tomorrow Furniture, Keeper combines a shoe rack with a bench. The soft seat has rounded corners to seamlessly attach to the recessed top leaving just the right amount of space to work as a side table for daily accessories

The briefing consisted in developing a flat-pack shoe rack that could also be affordable, sustainable, and configurable. The strategy was a clean and minimal approach, paying attention to detail. The seat joint and rounded corners add continuity to the overall shape of it. The slatted frame adds an interesting contrast between sharp/soft and pale/colored.
