It's always honorable seeing brands like Hasselblad create initiatives to celebrate women at making their mark into the photography industry and that is pretty male-dominated.
Urbano is a new Lightroom preset created from the desire to bring to life some of the photos that look dull or poorly lit. Living in big cities we are surrounded by concrete and oftentimes a monotonous blend of colors be it concrete, asphalt, metal, and glass. On top of that, at least in my case, I tend to always be at the right place at the wrong time. That means the lighting is never ideal for the look I am trying to capture. Basically a clear, minimalist and, dare I say, dreamy feel.
a clear, minimalist and, dare I say, dreamy feel
With that in mind, I would love to share with you my first Lightroom preset. Urbano means urban in Portuguese and it's a collection of three different looks:
- Urbano BW U1: This is a simple, low contrast black and white preset with the goal of bringing the whites to the forefront
- Urbano Suave U2: The desired look I wanted to give to my images. Bright whites with low contrast, almost desaturated, this look aims to recreate almost a 3D rendering look to urban landscapes.
- Urbano Warm U3: The warm version of the Suave. This preset creates an almost duotone, dare I say, sepia look to your images.
The presets are compatible with Lightroom CC for PC, macOS, iOS and Android.
