Adobe Firefly AI Assistant is a new creative agent that runs multi-step creative workflows across all Creative Cloud apps from one conversational prompt.

The interface is a single chat window inside the Firefly app. Type a request, and the Adobe Firefly AI assistant routes tasks to Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, or Illustrator — whichever tool fits the job — without the creator leaving the conversation. Context carries across sessions, so work in progress doesn't reset when switching between tasks. Two precision image editing tools ship alongside. Precision Flow generates a wide range of variations from a single prompt. A slider lets creators browse from subtle shifts to significant changes and pick the version that fits. AI Markup goes further: using a brush, rectangle tool, or reference image, creators draw directly onto the canvas to place objects, sketch elements, or refine lighting placement. On the video side, Adobe has moved Enhance Speech — the noise and reverb reduction engine from Premiere Pro — into the Firefly Video Editor, adding color adjustment sliders and live access to over 800 million Adobe Stock assets in the same flow. The Adobe Firefly AI Assistant also learns creator preferences over time — preferred tools, workflows, and aesthetic choices — so results grow more consistent across projects.

Adobe Firefly AI and the 30-Model Roster

The deeper structural shift is model selection as a workflow decision. Adobe Firefly AI now routes across more than 30 creative AI models: Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Omni, Google Veo 3.1, Runway Gen-4.5, ElevenLabs Multilingual v2, Luma AI Ray3.14, and Adobe's own commercially safe Firefly models. The assistant picks the right model for the task without the creator choosing it manually. Frame.io closes the review loop — the assistant packages work, shares it for stakeholder feedback, reads the notes, and applies edits automatically. Integration with Anthropic's Claude means creators can conceptualize a project in Claude and push it directly into Firefly for execution. A growing library of pre-built Creative Skills handles repeatable tasks from a single prompt — retouching portraits with consistent presets, or generating content across social channels. The Adobe Firefly AI public beta opens in coming weeks for Firefly plan subscribers. Routing decisions that once required five open application tabs now fit inside a single line of text.
