Last week I was waiting hours in airports, as usual, I was wandering and checking out banners and signs when I found a beautiful Sony ad of a cel phone called Xperia. The thing that really caught my attention was the wallpaper of the phone. It was a colorful light bean crossing the screen .

Pixelmator is a very powerful image editor; you can create all sorts of effects using it. Because of that I decided to recreate some images and tutorials that I previously did using Photoshop in Pixelmator.

We have a great tutorial sent by one of our readers, Chanito from Panama. In this tutorial he will show you how to create a good 3D type explosion with Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D and Adobe Photoshop. We will use basic tools to make this artwork. Good Luck!!!

Yesterday I was checking a book I have about skateboard decks design called New Skateboard Graphics. It's a super cool book and we have even given a copy away here on Abduzeedo. So while I was flipping through the pages I found this beautiful design that was a crazy pattern.

The new season of Heroes is on and it's really good. While I was watching the last episode I saw the opening credits and I thought to myself, why I haven't done that effect yet. So I decided to create the Heroes eclipse effect in Photoshop with a litle extra retro style.

So in this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice eclipse effect using only Photoshop.
