This week, I stumbled across the work of Catello Gragnaniello who is a 3D artist from Italy. For the NFT Spotlight, I wanted about his series titled 'ASIMOV' which is about the near future AI will be 'mimicking' what humans have done in terms of their lifespan. It would be described also as AI sharing an admiration for mankind.

Opening Title Sequence Concept for Arcane

Have you watched 'Arcane' yet? It's a Netflix series with the essence of Sci-Fi and Fantasy broken down into 9 episodes. Heard amazing reviews, probably gonna need to find some time during the break. This opening title sequence concept by Toros Kose really caught my eye. He was inspired by the stones and unity of magic and science; a theme in the show.

Folklore — stylish short film

Folklore is a puppet short film inspired by Scandinavian folktales made by Abraham Matias. The film follows scenes from various tales and was made entirely out of paper. Abraham creates three-dimensional illustrations with paper puppets inside a miniature theater. The music was done by Colombian musician Alejandro Montoya.

Vasily Bodnar shared another inspiring 3D and motion design project. Title Steel Series, this project showcases some 3D explorations using silver as subject. The outcome is brutal and beautiful. All in grayscale with a bit of Noir feel.

They are available on his website like most of his private work these days but the main reason for doing them was to revisit a previous project John had published where he reimagined iconic characters using a simple template.
