This week, I stumbled across the work of Catello Gragnaniello who is a 3D artist from Italy. For the NFT Spotlight, I wanted about his series titled 'ASIMOV' which is about the near future AI will be 'mimicking' what humans have done in terms of their lifespan. It would be described also as AI sharing an admiration for mankind.

This opening title sequence concept by Toros Kose really caught my eye. He was inspired by the stones and unity of magic and science; a theme in the show.

Folklore is a puppet short film inspired by Scandinavian folktales made by Abraham Matias. The film follows scenes from various tales and was made entirely out of paper. Abraham creates three-dimensional illustrations with paper puppets inside a miniature theater. The music was done by Colombian musician Alejandro Montoya.  

Vasily Bodnar shared another inspiring 3D and motion design project. Title Steel Series, this project showcases some 3D explorations using silver as subject. The outcome is brutal and beautiful. All in grayscale with a bit of Noir feel. 

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is such an interesting flagship from Google. I am being a long-time Pixel user, ever since the first one. I still haven't got my hands on the Pixel 6 Pro but it's definitely not a model that is following the market trends.

John Battalgazi shared  some illustrations he did especially to post on Behance and share with the artistic community. They are available on his website like most of his private work these days but the main reason for doing them was to revisit a previous project John had published where he reimagined iconic characters using a simple template.

Bold Period shared a beautiful branding, editorial design and graphic design project for '1.5°C' is a magazine born as a response to the climate crisis. They describe the magazine goals as: “We raise voices to inform how serious the climate change caused by environmental problems is.

Studio format shared a super elegant branding and packaging design for ANA Red Wine. A mirror can twist or distort our perception. It can cheat the eye, enhancing or fading some traits. More often than not, a mirror raises interest in the eyes of the viewer.

Marta Veludo Studio shared a branding and visual identity for RAD Makeup. At RAD they believe that the more you do you, the more goodness there will be for all of us. That’s why RAD creates tools for self-expression and brings people together - in real life and in the not so real life.

When you think of Peter Tarka, it reminds of a true OG of 3D art. One of the pioneers who built this community for a long time and made sure of its longevity to what it is today; with the new era we are currently witnessing evolving. We have received words from the fine folks from Fable about their accomplishment after 3+ years to build a motion design platform that is powerful, accessible, collaborative, FREE, and all possible within your web browser. I opened an account and will start playing with Fable for the next weeks.

If there is one thing that we can say that is positive about staying home is that you can have time to learn new things. On top of that, we have so much information at our disposal that makes learning quite accessible for those who have access to the internet. A good example is if you want to learn 3D using the free 3D software Blender.

Leta Sobierajski shared an amazing installation work for Showfields, a multi-level store highlighting unique, direct-to-consumer brands in wellness, home & design. During the pandemic, they approached us to create an installation that would release once the world had started to "go back to normal".
