Malvah Studio earned Awwwards Studio of the Year 2025 by building bold, minimal brands from Cape Town. Their rule: confidence needs no decoration at all.
Founded in 2018, Malvah Studio sits at 33 Loop Street in Cape Town, South Africa. Tyrone and Tim built it on a clear conviction. The best brands feel human, intentional, and at ease with themselves. That clarity drives everything: branding, UX and UI design, 3D and motion work, and website development. Seven years on, it stands as a globally recognized creative firm.
The studio's work is a study in restraint. For Seventeen Agency, Malvah Studio built an Awwwards Site of the Day. Spare geometry and deliberate motion let the agency's work lead. KODE Immersive, an AR/VR company, got the same treatment. That WebGL-driven site won an Awwwards SOTD and a Developer Award. Both pieces thread 3D environments through strong typographic clarity. For dhk Architects, the studio crafted a brand and digital presence grounded in architectural logic. Every visual decision mirrors the precision of the built work.
Why Malvah Studio Strips Everything Back
Malvah Studio begins each project by asking what can be removed. That discipline shaped the Hark Capital work, where clean confidence flows through every visual layer. For BitterCreek, restrained colour and strong type build a distinct food brand identity. For M&C Saatchi Abel, the studio crafted a digital platform to match the agency's stature. It competes with nothing. Each project reflects the same belief. At Malvah Studio, decoration signals doubt. Confidence, according to their studio philosophy, is a thing that only needs itself.
