It's cool to see products sharing enhancements through user experience and technical implementations that actually improve usage on the daily basis. It might pretty much product talk right now but this is why I always admire what the fine folks from Unsplash are building. Today we are taking a look at 'Visual Search' which is a new way on Unsplash to find more images. In a few words, you start by either drag & drop or paste the image URL in order to find images easier either for topics, find the original image on Unsplash, or to find a similar image.
Back in October, we have shared the exciting news of the fourth edition of the Unsplash Awards on abdz. For those who didn't know, I was selected as one of the judges and I had the mission to select the final selection for the 'Architecture' category. It was such an honor and it wasn't an easy task at all. I wouldn't have imagined that it would have taken me days of reflection and I went back-and-forth many times.
Unsplash Awards is back! It's a good opportunity to celebrate even though it has been such a challenging year (I think you all know why...). The Unsplash Awards is coming together for its fourth year and it's quite exciting to see it coming every year. The Unsplash team has celebrated lots of milestones. Now it's time to pay tribute to the community of amazing contributors who are driving the world by generously sharing.
Unsplash have shared and released their collaboration with United Nations to help spread the Covid-19 response through the platform. First of all, I think we are all currently living through a historical moment with what is happening with our lives. And many factors have made us more aware of the digital world from its ups and downs. I think collaborating with Unsplash brings a tremendous power knowing that they are the disruptors of the 'open world' and especially when you need a fast response.
Apple! Products that we love and sometimes love to hate. Personally, I am a huge Apple fanboy, I have used their products for such a long time. I always admired their care for design and how we can become easily obsessed by them. Following this argumentation, our friends from Unsplash launched today their new logo. We are happy for them and it's crazy how their product/platform just keep growing and expanding.
It's #UnsplashAwards time. It's that exciting time of the year again where we are all coming together to celebrate YOU contributors for the next month. Starting today, you can now submit your photos through 10 categories, we will share them below. The finalists will be announced on November 27th, 2019 and we will make sure to announce them on ABDZ. As a proud partner of the #UnsplashAwards, we love supporting initiatives that pushes everyone including us to create a powerful impact in the community.
It's been again a little while since our last article on Workspaces Inspiration. Usually, I would find my picks via Pinterest but it's not great. The images are pretty low in resolution and the images aren't well credited for our purposes. I thought about giving a little surf on Unsplash and wow was I surprised. There are a lot of high-quality images and the experience is much friendlier than what's out there.
Bonjour la Suisse! To me, Switzerland is the country origin of the famous "triangular-shaped" chocolate brand Toblerone and the Swiss Alps. Fortunately, this country offers much more and how about a country bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. That's amazing right?
François here from ABDZ, I wanted to share an update on my Osore Lightroom Presets. As you may have heard or seen, I was in Shanghai a little while ago for the Auto Show. I wrote a couple of really cool articles including a recap, you can check it out here. Being yonder and you guys know about my addictive obsession with neons.
This week, our friends from Unsplash announced the finalists of their month-long celebration . We have published the finalists on ABDZ. For this week's Unsplash Picks, we decided to hand-picked the Shortlisted. Let me tell you that I wouldn't imagine how hard it was to pick the finalists. There was so many great submissions, here are our selections from this incredible set. Hope you will like it!

Our last Workspaces Inspiration had a lot of great buzz. Thanks for the love everyone! We decided to make another collection hand-picked from Unsplash. In today's collection, we are featuring the latest from Ugmonk with his viral minimal, modular organizer (who raised over than 430K on Kickstarter) called: Gather. To learn more, please check out gathersystem.com.
Our friends from Unsplash are making some noise with the launch of Unsplash for iOS. The idea is quite simple, bringing awesome images into your iOS applications faster and quite easily. Starting the launch on the iPad and iPhone (Hopefully Android will come soon!), the app is quite playful and quite enjoyable.
We are sharing a cool app by the mighty folks from Unsplash. Having shared their API a couple weeks ago, they created an easy-to-use app for all of us. It's very easy, forget the days where you used to download the wallpaper and playing with your screen settings. Within a few clicks, there you have it with a new/fresh wallpaper. Wanna try it out, get it now.
It's been a little while since our last WPW; following up our comeback with the Wallpaper of the Week series, it’s crazy to imagine there’s more than 350+ wallpapers available to download for your different screen resolutions. Things have changed ever since so we decided to change the formula, each week we’ll try our best to publish one of our own pictures as a challenge. Let us know of your thoughts or suggestions so we can adjust for future endeavors.
Exactly one week ago, we have introduced the Unsplash Awards on Abduzeedo. A celebration made just for you, to recognize the open photography movement. Have you started submitting your photos yet? There is still plenty of time, please do check out Awards.Unsplash.com In the meantime, we would like to take the opportunity also to share a little interview/sit down we had with the founder of Unsplash - Mikael Cho.
It has been quite a long time since the last post on graffiti but after spending some time on Unsplash I rediscover the incredible work of street artists all over the world. Thanks to great photographers I selected some quite inspiring graffiti artworks, not so much of the conventional 3D typography, but more of the stylish and almost pop art style. The most fascinating thing about graffiti for me besides the colors and creativity, it's the size.
One of the many great things about this community, seeing collaboration between one and another. Especially seeing great friends like Unsplash and designer Tobias VanSchneider making their first collaboration, a limited edition sweatshirt. Entitled: The Urban Explorer, this sweatshirt is perfect for your inner spirit of discovery and made for fellow explorers and creators. Made in Canada (yes!), this sweatshirt can be worn all year long and works great for layering.
Happy Friday to all of you, we wanted to share some of our picks from the beloved Unsplash site filled with free high-resolution photos that you can download and do whatever you want with it. For your next project, mockups; simply go wild with them. The main purpose is to create an opportunity to get you more inspired in your work, as a designer I believe that inspiration comes from everywhere. THE more you're exposed, the more you'll create.
