Jordan Vitanov shared a concept design including branding and UX for what it seems to be a fintech app called ARES. The design seems simple yet quite functional. Reminds me a bit of Robinhood but it’s definitely a great exercise for anyone trying to improve the UX skills, especially with graphs and visualizations.

I will start this review by saying that it has been several years since the last time I used a tablet that’s not an iPad or Android. I mean a digital tablet for drawing. I used to love the Cintiq, it was the most amazing piece of tech and despite the fact that I am not an illustrator, I always found the tool super useful in Photoshop, but it is a bit too big for my needs right now.

ATOM63 (You Zhang) shared a series of abstract explorations during their everyday challenge, focusing on the colors while keeping the shapes simple. Some scenes are handcrafted and some are procedurally generated. The results turned out to be pretty interesting and can be used in many areas.

Since I saw the promo materials for the iPhone 14 Pro I kept thinking about doing that wallpaper in Photoshop. It’s hard to find the time with a 6 year old boy always wanting to play :) but this morning I took the time and had some fun. I am sure it can be easily done in Figma and Pixelmator.
