Diatomic studio, a multidisciplinary design studio duo based in Barcelona, shared a beautiful experimental film titled TILES. This film explores the module as the origin of harmony of a pattern, finding beauty in simplicity.

Mike Campau shared another beautiful 3D project and NFT titled Ghost of ZOË, which is a continuation of the original ZOË project. These hauntingly beautiful versions are created with a single line doodle, just as its predecessor was.

万 为春 shared an intricate and quite beautiful 3D project titled Spring is Coming. There aren’t many details available about the collection. The compositions feature what it seems to be some 3D typography made out of wires layered on top of each other. The work was done using Houdini and Arnold Renderer.

Lolly Studio shared a 3D and illustration project title Hells Angel. The 3D model of their Hells angel illustration is full of humor, it’s a caricature of the bikers that are part of that group. I love the contrast of sizes, especially the front wheel and the legs and feet of the biker. 

Last week I wrote a tutorial on how to create the new Apple iPhone SE wallpaper using Photoshop. It was a really fun little tutorial and I also saw another designer making the same effect in Figma. It’s amazing to see so many talented people as well as incredible tools at our disposal.

Mário Domingos has an incredible portfolio of 3D projects. It’s hard to pick one to feature because of the quality of work as well as the diversity of styles and explorations. Neubau Berlin created a series of scarfs to display their Neubau Type Specimen. The project titled Neubau Flag™ Type Specimen includes the Neubau Alphabet Scarf with 900x900mm of size and printed on real georgette silk (50 gms) in black/white color designs as well as the Type Specimen Supplement E2019.

Mansoor shared a branding and visual identity for Sole DXB, a leading platform for connecting communities through creativity and culture based in Dubai. The goal with this concept project was to create an urban experience. With patterns that screams ENERGY while focusing on young culture.

Charge Cars is a British company based in London with extensive experience in the development of luxury and high performance vehicles. They started taking reservations for a limited series of only 499 brand-new electric 1960’s Mustangs. The officially licensed shells preserve the classic design and styling of the legendary Ford Mustang.

The branding people shared a branding and visual identity project for Homie, a Mexican online platform that helps millennials land their ideal home by offering users a simplified and intuitive experience. The platform supports the user's journey from the search through to the signing, omitting the typical bureaucracy of renting or buying a new home. 

Quim Marin Studio shared a branding, packaging design and visual identity project for Soma Brewing Co. The project features a beautiful typography that is cleverly applied across all the collaterals, including the label for the bottles. In addition to that the usage of colors is spot on and gives the modern and fresh look to the identity.

I watched a bit of the Apple keynote today and I don’t know if it’s me getting old but it feels that the excitement is no longer there. I know there were new devices but still it feels more like the same. More speed, more this more that… one thing that caught my attention though was the iPhone SE wallpaper. The reason?

Maat Studio shared a branding and visual identity project for Los Melez. The project features a beautiful usage of typography for the logotype mixing normal and italic to create a very stylish look. The collateral material leverages that and expand on the theme really well, quite inspiring.
