Art Direction for the North Face Winter Catalog (2018)

Since it's winter on this part of the world, I thought it would be great to share the 2018 North Face Winter Catalog, art direction by Hybrid Studio. A creative studio based in San Francisco, CA, USA, they have been lucky enough to work with a brand like North Face but also with The North Face Athletes: Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin, Savannah Cummins, Alex Honnold, Anna Pfaff and Cedar Wright. The team spent three weeks in the freezing Antarctic and came back with breath-taking images and stories about a fragile and changing ecosystem. Accompany with a bold typography, simple and clean to release the beauty of its incredible pictures. It's kind of reminding me of the visual path with the new design of ABDZ.

The vast environment and contrasting colors of brightly clad climbers against cold blue ice, come together with bold typography and expressive but sharp product photography to bridge the gap of these hard-wearing products and the world in which they thrive.
