A few days ago I was watching a movie and I saw the Dreamworks logo. It's very well known and incredibly beautiful; that little kid sitting on the moon fishing. But what caught my attention was the clouds on the logo. They were so dramatic, and I thought that it would be a nice idea try to replicate the effect in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

This week we have the honor to publish a tutorial from Guilherme Marconi, one of our favorite digital artists out there, and we can say owner of a very unique style. In this tutorial he will show us a bit of his working process. From how he comes up with the ideas and what he does to make them become reality.

I'm sure that pretty much everyone of you guys loves the art of James White, at least, we here over at abduzeedo do.

A few weeks ago I published a tutorial called Girl in Tempo. I used the new version of Pixelmator that had the codename Tempo. The result was really nice and I got a very positive feedback, and, also some emails asking me to do that tutorial in Adobe Photoshop.

One of the best tools in Illustrator in my opinion is the Blend Tool. There are so many things we can do with the blend tool, mixing shapes, replacing the Spine path to create crazy forms. Also I try to learn how the real masters like Andy Gilmore create those fantastic pieces.

Last weekend I was watching the Iron Man movie and I was blown away by some of the effects I saw. Loved the bombs and some interface designs, in special when he puts the mask and lots of cool elements start popping on the screen, like the Terminator view.

Why use real make up if you can do a digital make up and make the skin look pretty and smooth. It's simple, fast and very effective.

Well, on this tutorial you will learn step by step the basics of digital make up on a persons body.

In this tutorial I will show you how I created the Girl in Tempo Image. Tempo in this case is the new version of Pixelmator, which I've been beta testing for a few weeks.

Our last Wallpaper of the Week was an image I had created using Pixelmator, and I really liked the outcome. The best part about it was that it was pretty easy to accomplish in Pixelmator, but I decided for perspective's sake to create the same effect in Photoshop. The process is easy as well, but with a few extra steps.

Following our series of Pixelmator tutorials, this week we will show you how to create an abstract wallpaper using the Quartz Composer filters. Even though the effect seems a bit complex, you will be surprise how easy is to create it in Pixelmator.

I know it's been quite awhile since the last time I published a Pixelmator tutorial, but the wait is over. This weekend I took some time to play around with Pixelmator and I also had the opportunity to test out the new beta version called Tempo. I must say, the new features are really neat.

I'm a really fan of Peter Jaworowski aka The Hejz, I even wrote a tutorial for PSDTUTS showing an effect inspired by one of the Peter's amazing works.

A few days ago I took sometime to try some tutorials I read such as the really cool Dramatic Text on Fire Effect in Photoshop by Collis from PSDTUTS, and put some 3D typography ideas into practice. My idea was to create a 3D text with fire coming from the inside of the document like a hole.

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a very nice image inspired by the amazing work of Andy Gilmore. If you don't know who he is, I highly recommend you to check his work out. He creates images combining vectors and blend modes to create astonishing designs, and that is what we are going to do.

Last week wrote a post about video tutorials and thought I would start making some. So yesterday, even though I’m on vacations and it was Sunday I decided to try some tools and see how they would work.

Since we released Abduzeedo's new design, we've received quite a few emails asking for a tutorial showing how to reproduce the our logo effect. Actually since the first time we used that effect, on the Sparkling Hot Girl in Photoshop tutorial, a lot of people have asked us how to do that effect.
