FOOL’S ERRANDS is an art project by animator Reuben Armstrong that brings together unusual techniques to imagine humourous objects that are only possible in a digital space.

A series of absurd, pointless, useless undertakings… Painted in virtual reality using Quill, the process retains the craft of stop-motion with a handmade charm.

We are featuring the work of Patrick Seymour, a freelance art director & illustrator based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, First of all, hi from a fellow Canadian! Patrick has shared an art deco theme font titled: 'Mint Soda'. I really dig this font, I love the mixture of swirls and it works pretty fine either on a light or dark background.

Ognjen Gligorijevic and  Jovana Ciric created 365D, a yearly planner, that uses a careful systematic approach that helps creatives store their projects, goals, achievements, and daily plans.  The A5 Format set entirely in Helvetica was printed on 120g paper by Color Planet.

Samet Kesen shared a beautiful collection of posters created every day in 2020. We all know that because of the pandemic, 2020 was a quite difficult year for many. Some found ways to cope by creating content, I don’t know if it’s the case with Samet, however his posters are pure graphic design nostalgia for me. Awesome stuff.

I am just amazed how artists push themselves to create with the nowadays tools, thinking of how Procreate changes the illustration application for iPad. I would like to end the week with the work of Clara GabyRose who is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Rouen, France.

The new book Büro Destruct 4 not only presents the best of realized projects of the past 12 years, but also intermediate steps, discards, experiments & inspiration of the Bern-based and internationally renowned design studio Büro Destruct.

Fran Rossi shared a beautiful set of 3D images titled “Brand Mechanisms”. The collection as Fran describes, is a series of mechanisms he designed for Mutualitics Brand Agency. “The idea was to create different concept mechanisms to show arrangements of pieces that may work together or separated in space and dimensions.

I wanted to share these 'Holographic 3D Illustrations' by Roman Haswell who is a 3D ? graphic designer based in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation. Hi series is a take on 3D explorations made with a theme surrounding the 'holographic effect'.

Pavel Emelyanov, Irina Emelyanova, and Comence Studio shared a branding, packaging design and visual identity project for Flè, a Brazilian brand that produces artisan chocolate truffles and bars.

Slinky Nostalgia is a sparkle of childhood memories. This beautiful 3D animation was created by the super talented, and fellow Brazilian, Frederico Felix, it’s his first NFT of the series available at Foundation. 

Bękarty - shared an inspiring editorial design project titled Noti. Honestly I don’t fully understand the scope of this project, however the typography and the overall editorial design is really good. Hopefully someone can give me more details, not that it will change my mind about how inspiring this project is.  

Erva design, Hugo Barbosa, and Ricardo Barros shared concept design project focusing on branding and graphic design.

João Teixeira shared a really beautiful industrial design project. Ben coffee table was designed specifically for 3D modeling purposes, Mr. Teixeira wanted to test a new way to simulate welding on Blender so he was motivated to design an object in which he could experiment.

Designed by h3l™, Delegated™ is a Virtual Assistant Digital Platform created for executives at larger companies + entrepreneurs. The project was conceived in 2 stages. The first stage of the branding was created using the symbology of the basic elements applied to the digital communication, messages, tasks, etc.

Vinicius Araújo shared a personal 3D project experimenting with textures and materials with Cinema 4D and Octane Render. The project is titled Molecular Food recreates very minimal compositions playing with food. The result is quite inspiring.

Sandro Weber and Julien Dessenne shared a stylish and minimalist editorial design project titled Seul à la Maison Moderne. I personally love everything about this project, from the layouts, the typography, image treatments. If abdz.

Jarosław Dziubek shared a branding and visual identity project for CentriX. The brand features a simple design with beautiful typography. The collaterals highlight the modern look, with the editorial style and basically black and white color scheme. 

Thømas Adnet shared a simple, yet super elegant interaction design and product design project for Paul Stretch Studio, a program for stretching the audio.It is suitable only for extreme sound stretching of the audio (like 50x) and for applying special effects by "spectral smoothing" the sounds. It can transform any sound/music to a texture.
