We’re big fans of Fort Point Beer, a New American brewery founded out of San Francisco by brothers Tyler and Justin Catalana in 2014. Not only are their beers truly unique and delicious, we can’t help but fall for Fort Point's gorgeous bento box brand identity and creative.

Burning Midnight started as a poem, a literary contribution to the Cyberpunk genre—but it became much more. The words inspired a group of us to band together to accompany the text with motion. The goal was to craft the piece entirely in CG, an exercise that we hoped would improve our skill sets in the realm of photo-reality.

We have been featuring Rik Oostenbroek ever since the early days of abdz. Rik has been a pioneer at crafting his visual style through all kinds of mediums. His goal is to always pushes the boundaries by experimenting with colors and compositions. By doing so, he has collaborated with Porsche, Apple, Taylor Swift, Swatch, HP, and just to name a few.

Alex Maltsev shared a beautiful 3D project recently. It’s a short film that allowed Alex to experiment with new 3D techniques for creating movements in 3D, full of vibrant colors to create hypnotic effects and gentle vibes as Alex describes. The Music is by Tom Quick. 

I have featured and followed Ekaterina Busygina for a couple of years now, my introduction to her work was through her captures of several cities of Asia. I stumbled across her captures of some metro stations in Moscow and they are so beautiful.

TianChen Deng is an 3D artist from Shanghai, China with a portfolio of quite beautiful 3D visualizations. For this project TianChen focused on further exploring the texture and lighting in compositions using old Sony devices as inspiration. Personally, I was a huge Dragon Ball fan and still am today. I can it's somehow important to have those reminders as you grow in life and become somehow disconnect from your past addictions.

Concept projects are always fun, there’s no doubt about that statement. We can explore our creativity without much constraints and that helps us to learn new things that might be or not useful in the future.

This past weekend, we had the absolute opportunity to watch the anticipated trailer of the Batman directed by Matt Reeves; starting Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, and more. In a few words, it was an explosive trailer totally worth the wait since we last saw the teaser last year during the pandemic.

Shapes and Forms + has shared their motion design project for the popular 'Western Digital' products and more specifically for their 'WD Black' lineup of products. Personally, I love how they put an emphasis on the 'dark tone' of its product highlights and a burst of vivid colors. Make sure to check out the video project and we included the styleframes.

The folks over at Carla have created a quite elegant branding and visual identity project for August, a skin care product based in New York. Having good skin is worth its weight in gold, but not at the cost of our own sanity.

We have been getting a good response of the poster series we share on abdz., you guys seem to enjoy it. Let's keep the momentum and kick it off with another poster series! Berkay Taş is a graphic designer based in Istanbul, Turkey.

HWAL shared this poster design 5 years ago. Yes, you heard it right, it was back in 2015 but it looks as fresh as if it was done yesterday. It goes back to the principle that good design (in this case graphic design) is long lasting. The complementary colors, subtle gradient and beautiful composition are a perfect recipe for that. 

Markus Kanzler has been creating a 3D series for quite some time now and it's interesting that we have never really featured in before on abdz? No harms done, let's make it happen now with a 3D series that Markus releases on a monthly basis titled: 'Mentis Abstractae'. You can see his progression in crafting his art, they are quite amazing.

Lucas Pereira has shared a cool what he would call a 'mood study' about light and compositions to create cinematic looks with cats. I think they are super well done and cute to look at. I was obviously drawn to the ones that aspire to any Tokyo and Blade Runner atmosphere. What do you think?
