It’s a bit of an old project by Sean Lewis but I thought it was perfectly suited for ABDZ. During these pandemic times, we had to find ways to be more creative with our daily lives. I think we all did somehow.

I think we have mentioned it multiple times on the blog. I think we are currently living during a time that will make us appreciate little moments and make us see things differently for the rest of our lives. Things that we used to take for granted are no longer a thing and our habits have changed.

Total Design, Adam Lane and Edwin van Praet shared an incredible branding and visual identity project for Automotive MediaVentions (AMV), a new unique collaboration between DPG Media and Mediahuis, the two biggest Dutch media companies.

Friday used to be the day we posted one of our most popular series about typography, the Friday Free Fonts. That was years ago, before Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts became widely available. Our passion for fonts have not ended just because we stopped sharing. We just need to find the right one to share. That is Righteous. 

Times are definitely changing, we all live in a pandemic and hopefully soon a post-pandemic reality. Economically things will be difficult initially but eventually things will get better. I know this sounds super grim, but in order to help everyone to promote their work, we will start featuring designers from all over the world in a series we call Designer Spotlight.

Working at building a product, as a designer. I spend most of my days designing and chasing down tickets to stack up enough work for the 'development build cycles'. Recently, I had a ticket that required a 'landing page'. It has been a little while since my last design and I decided to give a thought and do surf on Dribbble.

The 36 days of type is without any doubt my favorite design challenge. It’s been around for quite a long time. When did it start? My memory always fails me when it comes to dates. It’s been like that since I can remember. I don’t forget things that catch my attention, but I do forget when. Typography is one of my passions. I am not good at it, but I love it.

I am sharing this project by colorsponge . for two particular reasons. First of all, the project I am featuring is what I called: 'A cyberpunk story' which is something I love dearly and second of all after taking a closer look. It's made entirely in CGI! Really! I would never think this would be made entirely in CGI but it actually is.

Yuliia Lobodiuchenko is a transportation designer and illustration based in Turin, Italy. She created a series of illustrations dedicated to the most iconic, unusual and memorable cars in the automotive design history.

Dima Abrakadabra shared his submissions for the #36DaysofType and thought it should totally be featured on ABDZ. Aside from the style and the aesthetics, this series totally caught my attention because I am currently the Japanese language, more specifically the 'hiragana script' for starters.

We live in a data-driven era. Data drives the world. We talk about flattening the curve for the terrible COVID-19 pandemic, I have Analytics on ABDZ to see how the total number of visitors use the site. Data works best with massive sample sizes. It shows trends, and allows us to forecast outcomes.

You know those designs that you feel bad, not because of the poor quality but the opposite. When you question yourself, “why didn’t I think about that” or in my case “Why I suck so much”. Well, if you have these thoughts, a word of comfort, you are not alone. But brace for impact.

Back on April 24, 2015 the world was introduced to the original Apple Watch that literally changed the 'watch industry' forever. Happy 5th Birthday Apple Watch! For the occasion, one of the designers that worked on the first Apple Watch team shared a few fun facts that we took the liberty to embed it below.

Vini Naso, a visual artist from Canada shared a very interesting series titled: 'The masks we wear'. With the current moments that we are all familiar with living, I think it's fitting perfectly our 'new normal'.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. As a designer working in the universe of user interfaces, I think we all somehow had feedback on 'game interface design'. Personally, I would have feedback on everything that would involve an experience.

BÜRO UFHO shared an amazing typography project on their Behance. It’s also their contribution to the always incredible 36 Days of Type challenge. I said this many times, but this is probably one of my top 5 best 3D types published in that challenge. 

The incredibly talented Nidia Dias was approached by Maxon to create this year's splash screen for their S22 release. She started by creating one 3D look/style that was further explored to different variations for different versions of the software.

Well was approached by Disruption Labs in 2018 to collaborate on a project which saw the R&D company implement patented nanotechnology into the already booming CBD sector in the US and Europe.

For some reason I forgot to share this. Probably you already saw, read it or downloaded it. For parents this is amazing. Not a parent, that's OKAY, you will definitely enjoy wasting some time. What is it?
