The llllr Lee shared a really beautiful 3D project. As Lee mentions, today we see more artificial light than natural light and Lee tried various rendering experiments with the Hangul character called light. The result is quite inspiring, hence the feature here.

Bridge Studio shared a branding and visual design project for La Noria Coffee. The project included not only the visual identity but also the packaging. The goal was to promote local coffee farmers as part of the La Noria Coffee Project brand.

I stumbled across the 3D typographic style that really caught my attention and it's designed by Txaber Mentxaka. A designer and typographer from Bilbao, Spain, he created this insane-looking type titled 'Infinitype'. I just love how the entire set of foundry looked wrapped to the edge, so immensely condensed and obviously super bold.

This week, we would like to feature the Cyberpunk-inspired pieces by Thomas Dubois, a visual artist currently living in Montpellier, France. The NFTs we selected are magnificent and take you right into the world of Blade Runner with the atmosphere, street scenes, and of course the neons.

Stepan Solodkov shared a branding and graphic design project created for a Moscow based CGI studio that has a portfolio of very large clients. The target audience of the studio are creative and art directors of large advertising agencies, therefore, the identity wanted to invoke a bright, modern and memorable look.

Prateek Vatash shared an awesome 3D project really pushing the 80s theme to the limit. As you all know, I am a fan of that, hence the feature here. This project is the continued explorations of abstract interior and exterior spaces with graphic forms and typography that Prateek does.

This is a game prototype that I would love to share on ABDZ, it's a prototype (soon-to-be-released) designed by Sylvain Theyssens, Anthony Meric and Oleg Pashkovsky. First, the game is all about timing as I quote: "You are given only ninety nine seconds to succeed. The more you play, the fastest you become, and further you can go". Interesting concept right?

Maciej Polak is an illustrator based in Łódź, Poland, he has shared a beautiful series of hand-printed posters titled 'Zodiac Signs' series. 12 Zodiac signs transcended into his art, colors, and silk-screen printing method. These illustrations are absolutely stunning, Maciej also added a little touch of typography to complete the entire visual direction.

Studio Carreras is the award-winning creative studio of Genís Carreras, a designer and illustrator based in Girona, Spain. Carreras has a beautiful portfolio of branding, graphic design and visual identity projects. For this one, we would like to share the project created for Barcelona Institute of Applied Philosophy.

I wanted to shift our inspiration and share about the work of kickass designers who are always re-inventing themselves. Let's take the portfolio for example. As designers, we all somehow wanted to keep our portfolio up-to-date and know how busy we are with work, life and etc. We also follow some kind of formula on how to present our work if you think about a typical UX case study.

Let's kick it off with 3D personal experiments of fabric made by the mighty Roman Bratschi, a 3D designer based in Switzerland. Roman is not new to abdz, we have been loving to feature his work over and over again. With his series titled 'Fun with Fabrics', we follow Roman's continuation of this craft using Cinema 4D, Houdini, Octane, and Photoshop.

Hrvoje Grubisic shared a beautiful web design project featuring a crisp and classic typographical look. If you look at it very closely you will understand why I love it. It does remind me of some of the screens of the blog, but Hrvoje definitely did a much better job than I did here.

Tony Babel is a multidisciplinary designer, animator and illustrator specialized in rich animations for digital products. With a portfolio full of very inspiring motion design work. I am a huge fan of the Vintage Loops series but I wanted to share this series of random loops with you, just hilarious.

VELKRO shared a personal project highlighting their graphic design, editorial design and typography skills titled “Paper Work”. As they describe it: Red square on a blue triangle. Yellow circle over a grey rectangle. Paperwork is an alphabet book consisting of 36 hand-made creative and artistic booklets of tear-out papers.

We started the designer spotlight to promote designers across the globe. Times are definitely changing, we all live in a pandemic and hopefully soon a post-pandemic reality. Economically things will be difficult initially but eventually things will get better. I know this sounds super grim, but in order to help everyone to spread the word about their work.
