3D Typography by Jonathan Ortiz

Typography

Jonathan Ortiz shared a beautiful collection of calligraphy and typography compositions. They are super colorful and stylish. There are some clever ideas on some of them, like a anagram style animation. One of my favorite pieces is the Pinterest one, it has a bit of a paintbrush feel but with a lot of depth. It feels that is was done in 3D.

Magnificent Hand Lettering by Emilee Rudd

hand lettering

I'm slightly obsessed with hand lettering. I simply love when I stumble upon any branding, print, signage, mural, etc. showcasing a beautiful lettering work. The talent involved in creating beautiful things using only your free hand, creativity and skills never ceases to impress me.

Medical app concept for kids's care, made for parents

interaction design

We are featuring a very interesting case study that involves 'interaction design and UI/UX' of a medical app concept for parents who needs attention for their sick kids. It's a good problem to solve, as a parent/designer. We are definitely aware of how bad are the current solutions related to healthcare, I am sure they are good solutions but it's not available for everyone to use.

Reflecting on my move to Switzerland ??

thoughts on

As I am writing this, I am in the middle of a 20-meter square hotel room with my family and 8 bags that represents our dear belongings. No home. No car. No bank account. Starting a new job in 7 hours...in a new city that I have never been before and located in a beautiful country of Switzerland. Who would do something like that? Especially with a family? My answer to you is: 'Why not.'

Measurements AR Cocktail Book

editorial design

Measurements AR Cocktail Book In 2014 Nick Barclay had an idea on a plane to show people what goes into making people’s favorite cocktails. He designed a series of prints using blocks of color to represent the proportion of each ingredient in the drink and geometric shapes to represent the glass wear served in.

Alphabet Dispersion Typography Series

Typography

This typographic series started as exploration while playing with the settings and glass materials within the applications 'Arnold renderer and 'Cinema 4D'. The results are mesmerizing, the idea of 'dispersion' comes from the familiar example of a rainbow. I guess we are all familiar with that stripe of colors. The challenge to achieve such a natural look, takes time and commitment to do so.

What if social media platforms had abstract shapes

digital art

I am gonna start by saying that social media platforms can have its benefits and its disadvantages. I won't be the first to tell you that I have experience both and it's not always a fairytale. Again, it's a sense of control that you give yourself on, do you let yourself submerge yourself into the endless sea of notifications or give it some control.
