Being a product designer, I sometimes miss the 'good old days' of graphic design where there were almost 'no boundaries'. Except for when you needed to send something to the print shop, those were the days. It was pure freedom, this is how I envision the folks using Cinema 4D. Pure creative freedom! Speaking of that, we are featuring this series by titled: 'Internal Reflection'.

Unsplash have shared and released their collaboration with United Nations to help spread the Covid-19 response through the platform. First of all, I think we are all currently living through a historical moment with what is happening with our lives.

Guilherme Vissotto and Victor Berriel shared a branding and visual identity project for Potency Agency. The details about the project are quite scarce, they didn’t add any description. Based on the work itself I assume it’s for a design studio/agency. The presentation is beautiful.

Times are definitely changing, we all live in a pandemic and hopefully soon a post-pandemic reality. Economically things will be difficult initially but eventually things will get better. Victor Cambet is a freelance graphic designer and an amazing photographer currently based in Montreal, QC. What initially caught my eyes on Victor's work is his perspective of how he sees things through his camera lenses. It's pure, raw, and cinematic street photography. That's one of the reasons why we decided to feature his work on ABDZ.

I grew up playing video games. My first console was the Atari 2600. The games were quite primitive, literally a few pixels on the screen moving. Remember, that was the 80s. In the 90s my brother and I got the Sega Mega-Drive (Genesis in US). It was a massive improvement in graphics. A 16bit console, whoah! There are incredible games, however the one that marked was Streets of Rage.

I think this is going to break our visual pattern but this is totally worth it. This is the work from How Wei Zhong who art directed this massive campaign for Nike Shanghai in collaboration with the folks from ILoveDust.

I think Fabio and I are on a challenge to keep the ABDZ homepage in color tones of 'pastel visuals'. It's perfect because I stumbled across the new project from It's A Living aka Ricardo Gonzalez for X-Games China & Innersect 2019 in Shanghai, China.

Negro Studio  got a call from their friends at PLENTY to work with them on some proposals for NATGEO kids branding (rebranding). I cannot imagine the excitement that receiving a call like that might have been. For me National Geographic is one of those iconic brands. The yellow rectangle is so simple, yet recognized everywhere.

It’s a bit of an old project by Sean Lewis but I thought it was perfectly suited for ABDZ. During these pandemic times, we had to find ways to be more creative with our daily lives. I think we all did somehow.

I think we have mentioned it multiple times on the blog. I think we are currently living during a time that will make us appreciate little moments and make us see things differently for the rest of our lives. Things that we used to take for granted are no longer a thing and our habits have changed.

Total Design, Adam Lane and Edwin van Praet shared an incredible branding and visual identity project for Automotive MediaVentions (AMV), a new unique collaboration between DPG Media and Mediahuis, the two biggest Dutch media companies.

Friday used to be the day we posted one of our most popular series about typography, the Friday Free Fonts. That was years ago, before Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts became widely available. Our passion for fonts have not ended just because we stopped sharing. We just need to find the right one to share. That is Righteous.

Working at building a product, as a designer. I spend most of my days designing and chasing down tickets to stack up enough work for the 'development build cycles'. Recently, I had a ticket that required a 'landing page'. It has been a little while since my last design and I decided to give a thought and do surf on Dribbble.

The 36 days of type is without any doubt my favorite design challenge. It’s been around for quite a long time. When did it start? My memory always fails me when it comes to dates. It’s been like that since I can remember. I don’t forget things that catch my attention, but I do forget when. Typography is one of my passions. I am not good at it, but I love it.

I am sharing this project by colorsponge . for two particular reasons. First of all, the project I am featuring is what I called: 'A cyberpunk story' which is something I love dearly and second of all after taking a closer look. It's made entirely in CGI! Really! I would never think this would be made entirely in CGI but it actually is.

Yuliia Lobodiuchenko is a transportation designer and illustration based in Turin, Italy. She created a series of illustrations dedicated to the most iconic, unusual and memorable cars in the automotive design history.

Dima Abrakadabra shared his submissions for the #36DaysofType and thought it should totally be featured on ABDZ. Aside from the style and the aesthetics, this series totally caught my attention because I am currently the Japanese language, more specifically the 'hiragana script' for starters.
